Really nice showing for this wine. Spicy, peppery, brambly dark cherry nose. Dark cherry, zin berry palate with a perfect dollop of acidity on the finish. I like the tension of Fred''s zins as he creates somewhat of an elegant wine from a grape that likes to be the opposite.

Fred's Zins are for serious wine lovers. The alcohol is typical for a Zin, meaning on the high side, but it is well balanced. Tonight, we had it with pizza, but it shows best with meat dishes.

Still tightly wound but obvious quality is present. Hoping that the corned beef hash will wake it up.
