Dark raspberry colored. Fair ground candy apple, some dark berry notes. Blackberry. A little bit jammy. Tastes like the nose. Nicely balanced. Tannin and acidity still there. Longish finish. A little syrupy. Like blueberry pancake syrup. All tastes are integrated and work well together.
This is a bloody great wine. It's peaking, so drink now or hold for 2 years.

El Nido never disappoints. The nose was giving off some amazing black tea leaves which I am not sure I've ever seen in a red wine, but I was liking it. The taste was pure fruit with a great balance of acidity, dark fruit and tannins that are in check but still present. Overall a great El Nido, but not among the very best (although I am splitting hairs)

Pnp, drank 1/3 in an hour. Seemed light weight, not revealing much. 2 hours after opening, wine got a bit thicker, certainly fruitier & smoother. Delicious!

2 HR decant. This is huge on opening. Almost reminds me of caymus. Meh. After another hour in the glass it starts to settle down. Beautiful bouquet. Very well balanced. A touch of alcohol. Still holding on on day three. Wow. Seems to have many years of evolution left.
