La Paulée de SF Verticals Tasting (Fairmont Hotel, SF CA): 10/03/00 Vertical, all from Magnum. Shows the vintage ripeness / sweetness and lower acidity. Having said that not roasted in flavor. Some florals and clay in the background. Good now, but probably doesn't have the balance to age medium term.

La Paulée de San Francisco - The Verticals (The Fairmont - San Francisco CA): Tasting, brief note. In 10/03/00 vertical. From magnum. Ripe black and red fruit. Fun and dense flavors. The ripeness totally dominates and little Chambolle textures or nuances come through.

A Slice of La Paulée's 2018 Burgundy Producer Verticals Tasting (The Fairmont, San Francisco): Magnum. Deeper red. Roasted red fruit. Sweet, spicy, sappy, and long. Yes, this definitely has lower acidity, but it is undeniably exuberant and delicious now. OK, you can sue me for the occasional guilty pleasure of enjoying this degree of more New World ripeness and fruit.
