  • Color: still vibrant. Slightly cloudy red with dark reflections with a tendency towards brick red.
nose: pnp very creamy caramel ripe straw- and raspberries. Then straight into tertiary very earthy aromas.
palate: you can feel that this is fully mature. I wouldn't keep it any longer. Slightly thin on the mid palate and lack of tension (but only an indication of such decline). Iron, earth, minerality. Yum! Not the longest finish. Acidity still present but well integrated. A touch of powdery tannins with the finish.

  • Rather discrete nose with raspberries, some cherries, mineral and a hint of flowery aromas. With aeration some animal notes emerge. Medium bodied(-) with raspberries, red currants and some cranberries (including their bitterness), generally tart berry aromas, good acidity, some spice and a hint of oak notes in the background, rather light tannins. Feels rather fully developed although it doesn't show too much of the typical mature aromas yet.

Although the fill level was flawless, the cork was damp all the way through and smelled just a bit murky. While I can't detected any oxidised aromas in the wine, I can't rule out that this sample was more oxidised or developed than bottles with corks in perfect condition.

  • Good earthiness, some bricking starting, brambly dark cherry and ripe strawberry.

  • Just as the last bottle, good earthy juicy fruit, showing a wee bit of development but in a good way. Mushroom, forest floor, spicy black cherry.

  • Great complexity, floral spices; palate structured but approachable, good fruit but needs a few more years. 90
