  • Two bottles, one 91, the other 93. Both fresh very complex considering their age. Honey without being sweet. So smooth they seemed oily or wxy. Some apricot, peach and pear. Color was quite yellow. Nose was floral and honied. Great, long finish. Qualities were similar in both, one was just bigger than the other.

  • Just realised I never posted to update my earlier, quite reserved, tasting note back in 2011. The following bottles I had were way more convincing in length, complexity and body. Great wine that is holding up very well, although I expect it will not get any better than this. Not that it needs to, it is very good right now. I plan to drink and enjoy my last two bottles shortly.

  • Colour is still pale yellow, with a hint of gold. Nose was very tight initially, opened up slightly after decanting. Main impressions flint, floral, but also malolactic (kefir). Taste was not as impressive as I remembered. By no means too old, perhaps just a difficult phase in its life. Butter feel initially, replaced by flint and minerality in the mid-palette to end in a fairly long finish with citrus, melon and again flint. I'm not quite sure about this wine, perhaps my palette has evolved, perhaps it is the stage in maturity or perhaps not the best bottle. Hope the remaining 5 bottles prove me wrong in my assessment.

  • Light yellow. Beginning rubber nose, apples, some gun powder. Very mature nose, no oxidization however. I could notice that it had seen wood in the past (barrel fermented) and the taste profile reminded me of a mature white Bordeaux. Medium body. Very precise and focused in the mouth. Medium long finish. Interesting wine.
