Bucket List Tasting 2.0 (Sbicca Restaurant, Del Mar, California): Clear light straw color with lazy stream of ultra-fine bubbles. Fabulous bouquet of citrus, quince, almond biscuit, fresh chamomile, ginger and chalk. Pure, precise, with mouth-watering acidity. Superb. My colleagues preferred the 1996 to the 1995 by a vote of 7-2. I was in the minority. 60% pinot noir, 40% chardonnay.

Comparable to the '96 on 02/20/16 but just not quite as satisfying. Missing a touch of acidity perhaps?
