Love the funky nose on this pinot. Forest floor, mushrooms, cherries and leather. More mineral on the palate with cherries and this lovely minty note on the backend leading into the finish. Medium plus finish. Balance and delicous.
SS 91pts.

Still dark enough to be confused with Syrah...beautiful scents of funk and earth and dark fruits...on the palate the weight and heat is a little more obvious making it far less enjoyable than the other day.

Musar 95-97, Bergstrom 02-07 at Kirk's (Kirk's Place): Dark ruby in the glass, lustrous with some bricking. Nice nose of forest floor, dark fruits, earth, and well-integrated umami. A hint of burnt wood that bothered me a little. In the mouth, rich (but balanced), with med- tannins, light umami and savory dark fruit. Nice.

16th Annual Lyon 10 Year Retrospective (Same Old Place): A great wine with depth and balance and structure. Black cherry, mocha, and earth. Goes on and on. 92+ on day 2.
