Dark musty cork still dry at the open end. Some brick red color on the edge. Nicely balanced with black pepper notes, oak and faded fruit. Respectable for a 37 year old Bordeaux.

Medium dark brick color, significant bricking at edge. Cork moist and dark. Soy, green pepper, anise, and excessive paint thinner. Taste thin, metallic, zero fruit, bitter. It's 35 year old Bordeaux, it'll be hit and miss. Just nothing from this bottle from open to three hours later.

Dry wood nose, with eucalyptus, oak. Cork was fully wet and the bottle under the foil showed signs of seepage. I was worried the wine would have suffered. Had with braised lamb shank with rosemary, garlic and dijon mustard and salad with balsamic dressing. The good news: the wine was beautifully well balanced. Anise, meat, eucalyptus, wood. Great 30+ year old Bourdeaux

In good condition. Nicely balanced. Unlikely to improve beyond this point.
