Deep ruby. Double-decanted for half hour and another half hour of aeration, reveals rich and complex notes of oak, vanilla, pronounced dark fruits like blueberries and cassis, earth, tobacco, leather and nutmeg. Well structured, full bodied, medium intensity and acidity. Dry, silky tannins. Savory, meaty long finish. Elegant and outstanding. Can drink now but has potential for aging.

2012 has enough maturity now. Well balanced and structured. Definitely a property producing quality. We enjoyed it, but looking forward to tasting a better vintage.

Very impressed by the overall quality of this wine in this vintage. Perfectly balanced and showing very elegantly what you should expect from an excellent Pessac-Leognan. Very aromatic and fresh with herbal, truffle and red berry aromas. Drink or hold for another 3-5 years.

MW Institute 2012 Bordeaux Tasting: Cherry, raspberry - fairly lifted sweet nose. The palate feels a bit thin though, with the tannins cutting the length a bit short.

Pure medium red. Cherry, earth and cedar nose, but with a pruney note of overipe fruit. Cleaner in the mouth but finishes suddenly.
My conclusion, in line with other wines, is that I don't like 2012 Bordeaux very much.
