  • Burnt rubber nose even after 8h in the open bottle, dull and boring

  • Intense, burstingly fruity, dark and delicious. Dark cherries.

  • Fantastic nose reminiscent of a top Gigondas with loads of spice like black pepper and cumin, wild flowers, dark cherry, chocolate, coffee, hints of tomato sauce and cedar seeds. Med+ bodied with firm but fine-grained tannins, nice acidic lift and good length. Spicy and savory aftertaste. Impressive wine and great value. I really don't get the reason for receiving such negative reviews from other CT reviewers but maybe it was tasted when it was too young. Fortunately it has received a fully justified 91 from Jose Penin.

  • (Iberian Wines Tasting, WineGate)
    Clear, pale ruby
Clean, mid intensity, thick layer of black berries and cherries, plums, vanilla scented oak with raspberry jam, a big array of spices and nuances of port wine. Young (and oh so attractive)
Dry, medium+ body, medium+ intensity, medium+ alcohol (14.5%), medium+ acidity, tannins medium+ bg but velvety, black cherries again, nutmeg and cinnamon, oak more apparent, mid/mid+ finish.
Very good wine, high price, drinking now but could age.

  • I bought this wine on close out at a local wine shop without reading any reviews about it. After I entered the purchase in CellarTracker, I was disappointed to read such negative reviews here. Thus, I didn't expect much from the wine, especially since I'm not a huge fan of Tempranillo generally. I actually found this wine to be quite good, perhaps having benefited from more time in the bottle. It's an easy everyday drinker, and I appreciated the ripe fruit profile without any oak. I may even go back and buy the rest of what was left at my local store! At about $10 it's way better than a lot of other similarly priced wines I've had.
