  Monthly Tasting Group EEE #035; A mixed set of white, red and sweet (@ My place): Aromatic bouquet with yellow fruits like banana and some spiciness. Same on the palate. Full bodied, even a bit fat, mango and honey as well. Beautiful balance between acidity and sweetness. A mature wine which is completely ready now.

  typical grassy, herbal, spicy nose, not too green, powerful, vibrant acidity, luscious long finish, a good green veltliner

  UWS 2011-01 (@ JB): Expressive and fresh, a bit spicy bouquet. Spices, tropical flavors, citrus, a little residual sugar, but beautifully dry at the same moment. Pleasant acidity. Really nice.

  A beautiful nose, and shows deeper and richer fruit than the basic Nikolaihof tasted before it; this character carries through on the palate as well, where it shows a lot of complexity. You have to be a real gruner fan to justify the price tag, though. 92
