It was written 5 and 7 on the bottle with no label
As Raymond Trollat died on the 20th and we visited Gonon 21st on the evening well that had that one open for the late MR Trollat who sold his vines to the young Gonon's ... Going full circle here
My oldest St Joseph for sure ...
Loads of forrest floor, wet leaves, old mushrooms, really like entering a forrest in autumn... no more anything else there :)
The palate is quite light body, with loads of tertiary, autumn leaves, humus, earth, mushroom, etc... the acidity keeps the wine alive and it is not meager at all, it is certainly past its peak but it is a vibrant and lively old wine giving what it can !
Legend !
