Medium gold color. Orchard fruits, apples, pears, quince, lemon zest. Medium weight, nice texture throughout. Layered finish, elegant, really delicious. In a good spot right now, should hold at this level for a while.

At Tom and Susan's, great evening for their farewell to California. This was the first wine of the evening, decanted for about 30 minutes. Drank next to a Peter Michael La Carriere - 07.
Consistent with prior notes on this bottle, this one may be a shade better with some time to open. Medium golds color. Clean and crisp on the front of the palate. Apples and pears, quince. Nicely balanced, mild acidity.
On this night, the crowd generally preferred the Peter Michael, which was spectacular as always...

The impression of this wine from Burghound and reputation is of a laser-like precise wine... but not so... this was both soft and sulphuric, not terrible just surprising.

At Fringale in San Francisco, Tom brought this one, drank before the Peter Michael Point Rouge.
Clean and crisp, medium to light straw/gold. Nice acidity and balance. Apples, pears, nice minerality. Medium finish. Right in its zone now
