Small vertikal tasting of Moet Collection 04,02,96,92 and 90 Magnum

    04, deg. 2020
A lot citric aromas, some roasted notes, salty, reductive and a bit tight, tangerine, a bit smokieness and and the end creamy. 93

    02, deg 2017
elegant, fresh, some aging signs, balanced and creamy. 51% CH, 26% PN and 23% PM

    96, deg. 2017
for me the strongest with 90 Mg, elegant, fresh, round, nutty and toast, similar to DP. at the end still lemon, cracking acidity as expected fora 1996. 94-95

    92, deg 2004
not in perfect condition, some mushrooms. 91

    90, Magnum, deg. 2004
At his peak. Juicy, some roasted aromas, very balanced, at least 10 more years. 95

  • The 1996 Moet & Chandon Grand Vintage Collection is slightly lighter than the muscular 2002 next to it, though still very enjoyable and well balanced. Smokey minerals, ripe apricot fruits and generous autolytic nose. Full bodied with good acidity and zingy citrus fruits on the mid-palate. Drink now to 2034. (87/100)
