Lafitte Belgian bottling. VTS levels. This is the old name of Eglise Clinet.
Pretty dark color still. Does not look like a 57 years old wine (bottle and cork entirely legit, though!). Beautiful nose. Palate had a bit of everything in it: tar, cigar box, some black fruits. Not fading. Long. Remarkable wine and my wine of the night.

(Clos de l'Eglise Clinet at this time) Beautiful nose and a solid dense mouth, maybe green peppers, a lovely bitter blue finish, so young - even if this had syrah or other inputs how would they have lasted like this? Astonishing for its age, lovely - but didn't lift off
