Nose: pepper, violet, blackcurrant, licorice, plum
Notes: Decanted this for 2 hours and the wine is still very very young. I don't think any conclusion that can be made today reflects the true potential of this wine. Very alcoholic still (14％ ABV) and this wine only showed bare signs of aging at 18 years old. I would say that this needs at least another 15 years to get to the right drinking age and we just consumed this way too early today.

drank over several hours from the decanter. paired initially with turkish kebabs and halloumi, then with steak. I've noticed, counterintuitively that with fine older wines, the oxidative flavors "blow" off with more time in the decanter (counterintuitive because you would expect more oxidation). With time in the decanter the dark cherry and black fruit stepped forward

In the nose a little bit shy and reserved. Fantastic fruit on the palate - very dark and powerful. Some nice menthol notes in the background. Incredible complexity. Amazing long finish. Still very young. Let it breathe for two hours. Drink now until 2040. (IG)

oh my god - what a wonderful bottle -- the nose... -- cherry -- massive -- menthol - so good at this this stage - i will try to get this beauty to drink again in 10 to 20 years
