Not much going on on the nose: subdued hints of blackberry jam, dried rosemary, and balsamic vinegar. The palate looks tired: a little watery, a little dusty, but still some fruit left: blackberry, plum, and a hint of grapefruit. Plump, juicy body, with acidity that's welcome but slightly astringent. Doesn't stand up to food. It's of primarily academic interest and years past its prime, but whatever, I liked it!
Better than I expected. Cloudy in the glass, all cranberry red. Nice aromas on opening, but as expected, they faded. High acidity, went well with chicken in marinara sauce. Plum, leather, earth, then the tart finish
