Lovely yellow gold, medium legs. Aromas are primarily tree fruit: apple and peach, with subtle hints of pineapple, petrol, apple blossom and honey. On the palate, definite lemon, apple, petrol, and hint of honey remains. Light to medium body, medium finish, medium plus acidity. Texture is linear yet a bit oily -- maybe the petrol? As the wine evolved over a few days, the floral aromas became more dominant and the flavor more lemon and tart/acidic. Overall impression: may be past peak, but still very enjoyable. At $18, QPR is average. Drink now.

Härliga mognadstoner, mycket av syran borta men fortfarande härligt fräsch. Torkade mogna aprikoser i eftersmaken, lite diesel i doften....helt klart värd att spara...

Found this the other day in a liquor store that was selling off old Riesling stock at hilariously low prices. Picked this bottle up for $8. Figured even if it had been on the shelf for 7 years it was worth a shot. Gamble paid off - this is in excellent shape, drinking a few years older than the vintage suggests, but v. good all the same. I love the aging path some of these Rieslings take, where an almost chemical note ties up with the minerality and coats the outside of my mouth while a pure sweet (dry, but fruity) core sits firmly in the mid-palate. Not so much to Annora's taste, but an old friend to me. 12.5%.

Still fresh on the nose, with lots of fresh apple and pear notes, some more floral/peachy flavors as well. Minerality on the nose, rain on slate.
Showing its age more on the palate, a little acetic characteristic, but a nice long finish of apricot preserves.
Time to drink, or maybe a year or two past, but still enjoyable!
