Gorgeous deep golden color with a nose of peach, apple, honeysuckle, sweet honey, hazelnut and carmel. Sweet approach, with an almost dry finish. High acidity keeps it vibrant in the mouth. This wine has great mouthfeel with a mouth coating very long finish. This in an exceptional sweet white wine. Not as sweet as a Sauternes, or Tokaj, but unique and special in its own right.

Showing a bit more closed than past bottles, so it may be time to let these sleep awhile, or do some heavy decanting. The riveting acidity is still there and there's just a tremendous amount of vitality to the wine. Quince dominates this bottle with a little less of a tropical fruit character. A bit of sweetness, but nothing on the order of what the Reserve would be. Gorgeous. A/A-.

The nose has some resin, honey comb and citrus. The palate is slightly thick with nice lemon flavors and nice grapefruit-like acidity. Long, mildly sweet and delicious with honey notes surfacing more as it warms.

Medium lemon gold appearance , with aromatics of quince, candied apricot and lemon. Full body, round texture, long finish with balanced acidity for a desert wine. Amazing, has potential to age many more years!

Loire Spring Dinner (Heirloom Cafe, San Francisco): Deep yellow. No obvious botrytis but gorgeous citrus and tropical fruit. Harmonious and broad, off dry, impeccable balance, long finish. In a word, an achingly beautiful dessert wine. Vive Foreau!
