Not quite as interesting as I had hoped for. The nose is pretty closed and regardless of the varietal I actually miss some acidity (yes i prefer Riesling). But except acidity, the mouthfeel is spot on. Not too heavy. On the nose fermented apples and honey...

Dinner @ Atera - both pairings (Atera - 77 Worth Street in NYC): From the standard pairing at Atera. I quite liked this. It was not as sweet as the sauternes from the high-end pairing, but in some ways that worked well as it really complemented the desserts (the sauternes was big and bold and in some ways wanted to be the dessert by itself). This instead was lightly sweet but not overpowering. And very tasty. I enjoyed it.
