  • Chevalier Induction Dinner - Beautiful pure red fruit. Lush without being opulent or overly round. This had an extra gear too and the depth you would hope for. While quite a bit younger than I like MG this was already in a spot I would not hesitate to open again, however patience will reward here too. 5-7 years from now this should hit its stride with the emergence of a few secondary notes. We will hang on to those for a bit as a result. Top level CV.

  • My least favorite in a flight of 08, 09, & 10. Compared to the other two vintages, this was was a bit fleshy and flabby. Lacked precision and elegance. Might have liked it better if not compared to the two others but this one just didn't do it for me.

  • Beautiful nose of raspberry, sweet spices, oak. This is sunny and modern but with excellent complexity. On the plate it really shines. Beautiful ripe fruet married with a polished tannic corset that makes French wine so drinkable and sophisticated. My last bottle of this case, unfortunately the price of Mugneret-Gibourg has risen a lot so that it is hard to find and rebuy these.

  • A beauty....there’s something about MG I find it gives you secondary characteristics through the bouquet and textures even when the fruit is still primary...it’s a very seductive experience. Nose is performing even better than the palate. The fruit here is plummy, velvety and still in early stages....Well crafted and not heavy handed, though it has a bit of heat in the finish

  • Ripe, fruit-forward nose of raspberry and soil tones. Fleshy with grainy tannins and moderate acidity carrying flavors of raspberry and minerals. Excellent persistence. Very good today.
