Medium mahogany, definitely on the brown end of the scale - nose is rootsy, a little spicy, not really any primary fruit, it has moved on to more complex aromas. On the palate it has good verve, and flavours are in the earthy, roasted cherry, even a bit of cocoa nib and a hint of coffee. Those descriptors sound a bit dark, but it drinks very fresh, not ponderous at all. Went very well with boeuf bourguignon. Very nice now, may even get better for the next few years.

Upon first taste, it was quite earthy and a bit poopy, not that compelling - in glass about an hour now - maturing, 10 yr tawny colour - mature nose, still earthy, but complex, winey, pleasant - palate is balanced, perhaps on the acidic side but nice and fresh - complex, earthy nuances, not a lot of fruit per se, but this would be great with a boeuf Bourguignon - not a lot of upside in keeping this much longer - finish is a bit short

Earthy leather nose with cherry, spice and cinnamon stick. Round and fresh with a medium finish. Tannin a little dry and coarse. Pleasing but not a showstopper.

K-dub Wine Club - Red Burgundy (Tim W's): Late addition.... Quite dark for a Beaune of this quality. Aromas of cherry drop, cranberry, and oyster shell (almost briny). Great stucture and balance but very very young as the acids are still quite predominant with a long life ahead.

More sharp than expected and without much depth of flavors. Consumed young, but i was still expecting more from this red.
