Might be defective but my experience was like one other reviewer. Great nose, palate good but doesn't live up to nose. Turns bit sour quickly. I'm not sure how this will hold out as my bottle is quite thin on fruit.

Classic red brick color (on the light side though). Dark cherry and charred oak. Great nose. Good fruit with tannins that are quite tight and present. This wine needs time. We waited 1.5 hrs and I would say it would peak in 2-3 hrs. This will drink wonderfully in 5 yrs. At the beginning the tannings were a bit bitter. Nothing some waiting didn't manage. Tried it as a transition of recently consumed Californian pinots.... Those bonbons reds made me really look for some more class...

Initial intense aroma of cherry and mix of berries. First sip attacks the senses, quite intense and spiced. Red cherries, chocolate, oak. Drys out towards the back of the mouth and dry and a bit chunky tannins take over. This still needs some time to integrate and soften. Still quite enjoyable and good food fine. A good value for money as it comes (and compared to many other of its region).

Opening with a blast of charred oak, this settles down to display a strong showing of bright sour red cherry, along with raspberries, dark plum skins, iron, and crushed rocks. The palate does not live up to the amazing aromatics presented by the nose, but it is far from disappointing. Tons of red cherry, rhubarb, red currants, red plums, along with smokey oak and chalk show on the palate. Tongue numbing acidity compliment the chalky tannins. Long finish, ending with notes of raspberry and charred oak. While this is obviously just a baby that is in need of much more time on its side, this showed well and offers great value for the price. Very good.

This wine has to drink within an hour and a half after opened...it turns sour pretty quickly...wonderful aroma.
Color: Very transparent and beautiful red, like ruby with flashy edges Aroma: Orange, strawberry, flower, later with wood and tobacco Taste: Flower, strawberry, very few tannins...later turned citrus, sour... Body: light to medium Finish: Medium
