Dinner at Ecco , St Moritz (Ecco , St Moritz): We have this rule that 2009 & 2010 Bordeaux one can afford to be producer agnostic so good are the vintages. This goes even a step further , well round, soft earthy , dark fruit , light savoury feel. Definitely felt a bit older than a 2009 but that just makes it even more welcoming. Very pretty 92 and at a great time in its life and frankly we would not risk ageing this a lot further.

Lots of (slightly sweet) blackberry and blackcurrant fruit. Prominent dark chocolate and some tobacco. Elegant tannins, soft texture. A hint modern and too ripe for my palate, as are many 2009s. Good food wine though. In its drinking phase for sure, but no rush. Will hold another 5-8 years. - 90 points

Prince - Cabernets of the world (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): Meaty, savoury, muted blackcurrant, plum, sweet spice. Juicy and fleshy, quite fresh considering the vintage, black hued fruits., floury textured persistent tannins, fruit just about carries, slight cedar. Okay.

8 months ago I had 2001 vintage and it was very good but not so excited. Let's see what 2009( 99 pts from WA Vintage Guide!)can bring to my tongue and my brain 🕙🕐⏰ An hour in decanter. First of all creamy and velvety texture. Next - all flavors are delicious, well balanced but soft. It goes the same with tannins and acidity. If you like this kind of wine, then be my guest. Black cherry, blackberry, plum, chocolate ( a lot!), vanilla ice cream. This juice is definitely on sweet side of dry wine. Nice balance. Smell? Completely different than taste and it's a plus. Tobacco, leather, cedar, smoke. Château Belgrave is affordable Bordeaux classified fifth growth estate. WE - 90 WS - 90 RP - 89 Jeff Leve - 89
