  Had a great selection of wines lined up for my birthday, but this was the one I was most looking forward to. No idea why the the vines that make this wine survived so long, but maybe the bug found them a little bit dull and uninteresting. Severd too cold to begin with, this opened up to be an ok, but not spectacular wine. High in acidity, the fruit was in the melon spectrum, but quite restrained. No noticable minerality. Might be a wine that needs a bit of time, but at around 40 euro a bottle, this is poor value.
