Delicious bottle. Oddly this one showed no drying out of fruit and seemed even sweeter than semi-sweet. A swaggering wine that could only be ZH. I love it.

Not consumed since 2014 I was surprised how apposite the note was yet how little the wine has moved on. Still a tropical fruit melange on the nose, with a dry--almost hollow-palate, just coming back from the brink with extract and length.

Terroir-istes International - France, Alsace Pinot Gris & Gewurztraminer (Cape Town Law offices): "(Tasted Blind): Mid-gold in colour. Captivating nose with a floral bouquet intermingled with notes of blossom, rooibos, and honey. As the aroma unfolds, chalky undertones emerge, drawing you deeper into the wine. The entry has richness with a line of fresh acidity that carries the wine seamlessly (like it runs on rails!) to a long finish. Refined and complex with some signs of maturity, the wine is reasonably assertive with excellent concentration and that backbone of acidity. Closes with a gentle phenolic grip, porcini mushroom, white pepper, sweet citrus, and stone fruits. Could be Deiss? Similar styling

Lovely rich sweet nose of rich pear. Entry is sweet fruit but more tropical with a touch of pineapple - a fairly weighty mouth. A touch of leafiness on the finish. Finish is clean but acidity much died down. Very good. Drink by 2019

On the edge. Some nice nectarine fruit on the nose and a little oxidation. Palate is soft and definitely on the way down though not yet dried out.
