  • Tense and deep with salt, herbs and blackberries. A great example of high quality cru Beaujolais. That seems inadequate. This is a great example of high quality wine. Full stop.

  • Very youthful dark red with purple highlights. Aromas of candied black cherries/raspberries, dark florals, black tea and a steel/mineral note. A rather masculine and broad shouldered palate shows tart-sweet and savory black fruits, touch of game, good acidity, lurking tannins and an intense mineral laden finish. The wine continues to tighten up in the glass with air.

  • Day 4 after simple recording of 1/2 bottle. It has really opened up compared to day one, dark and rich aromatically, the palate reveals dark complected fruit, underbrush a floral finish.
There’s a nice balance between acid and fairly resolved tannins, lending a sense of juiciness, structure and texture. Either hold or vigorously decant.
Note to self, wait 2-3 years for the next one.

  • Deep ruby red in color. Dark reddish black cherries, soil tones, herbs and incredible note of minerals on the nose. Medium bodied palate reveals savory brown spices, bitter dark red cherry reduction, good acidity, discernible (and slightly drying) tannins and a finish redolent of minerals. There is good amount of sediment in the bottle. Nice.

  • Evening 1 straight from the cellar - really dominated by dry, dusty tannins, was a little disappointing.
Evening 2 last 1/4 of bottle vastly improved, dark cherry on nose, beautiful structure and flavors on palate. Now looking forward to the remaining 11 bottles.
