The wine looks yellow brown colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like smokey bacon, phenolic, grapefruit, pineapple, banana, artichoke and mineral. It tastes like lemon, pineapple, orange, forest floor, dust, oak, apple blossom and butterscotch. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has high acidity.

Fabulous Chardonnay from Greg Brewer. A very unusual & special wine. The nose is petrol, reminds me of Riesling, with a slight touch of candy cane. The taste is artichoke, dried apricot, lemons, caramel; friendly, astringent. Long legs; color is Platonic, ideal: bright, see-through, yellowy, baby's pee. Drank at 50-55F. Years to go, if kept well.

Very disappointed by this wine. Medium golden. In summary the wine is just over oaked. On the nose and palate the nose and palate is obscured by oak notes.

Brewer Clifton wine definitely have a long aging curve for California wines and this was no exception. The wine is at full maturity but not in decline after 10 years. Light golden, the nose is a modest white flowers and kiwi aroma. The body has flavors of lemon rind, butterscotch and tropical fruit with noticeable oak influence. The issue is the mid palate and the finish is lacking focus and feels a bit flabby. Drink up as it won’t get any better.

Floral nose. Full bodied. Some oak on the finish.
