Still a monster nwine. Still seems so large that it overwhelms. Somensecondary (age?) flavors coming through the flavor wall, but this should be consumed with a rich meal. Too big on it's own.

Big. All of a 3 hour decant and it opened beautifully.had with wife’s cassoulet, prepared with duck confit from D’Artagnan. Lots of cherry and dark fruit. Still great and outperforming.

Consistent with prior notes. 3 hour decant. Black fruit and cigar box nose. Full bodied and smooth. Layers of intense dark berry fruit. Long finish. Just delicious. An outstanding CdP

Still massive. Not sure what will change. I do not think this will soften at all. I expect, given time, the structure will win over the fruit. Very enjoyable now. Doubt it will improve.

I’m posting after opening two bottles of this. I don’t think either were flawed, but the cork crumbled on both bottles, and both seemed slightly older/more stewed/raisin driven than expected. Lots of chewing tobacco leaves with kirsch (and a good bit of tannin at the finish), but the bottles were somewhat dull. Seems like my experiences were one-offs, or else I’d say these are over the hill.
