Still singing, still fairly fresh, even under cork. Intense citrus and white stone fruits. Some very light honey. Great acidity. Clean and quite long. Not disgraced even when paired with BdM C-C 2005.

Lovely chardonnay retaining fairly crisp acidity and hints of oak, integrating to become slightly buttery and nutty. Not super-intense, overall very enjoyable, outstanding even, but also comes with a slightly hefty price tag for what it delivers

Samuel Smith & Sons and Negociants 2011 New Release Tasting (Marriot on Pitt Street, Sydney): Nose: Rich stone fruit over mineral. Medium plus intensity and a slightly floral perfumed note
Mouth: Medium plus tannin and acid. Slight lees mouth coating feel. Starts with apples and morphs into more stone fruit. Long, spicy, finish. Very good.
