(Decanted for one hour) Deep red colour with a mature nose showing bay leaf, leather, sous bois and notes of iron with a light perfume note of violets covering it all in a very pleasant way. Smoothing tannins on the palate still focused on some primary fruit, but tertiary notes is covering it all showing some leather on the lengthy finish showing an alcohol warmth. Was perfect with the pan fried sirloin steak tonight with enough tannins and intensity to meet the structure of the meat. Time to drink up as it will start to fade out from here. (Best 2014-2024)

(Decanted for one hour) Deep red colour with a brick red hue. Maturing nose showing dried fennel and anis, leather and blood in a broad and wide way. Softening tannins on the palate combined with an intense drying fruitiness on the mid before the lengthy finish showing some iron notes. (Best 2014-2029)

Reasonable Médoc. Mature, smooth, integrated. Drinks well, but of no special interest.
