I had this one with Chateau Lamothe Bergeron 2003.
Rather bright colour with a very brown rim. Plenty of fine particels as well. Fragrances of olives, tar, Piedmont cherry and green pepper. Its body is rather classically light to mid-body. After two hours an astounding fruit developed. Amazing for a wine of this age and quality. Besides the cherry fruit aromas of crème chocolate, green pepper and paprika are present, too.
Two very different reasonable Medoc wines. A more classic and a more modern one.
