ESTG does Pegau-Palooza (Seattle, WA, USA): Leaner, more structured, dry, very peppery. In comparison the 88 and 90 this comes off as austere, but I love it. A darker, blacker profile, brooding.

Gummy, herbal, raw rosemary, Yerba Santa, raw meat, animal blood, iron, and a touch of raspberry. All things I really like in a wine, but the intensity was almost a little tiresome after a while? Your enjoyment may vary based on how much you like that funky, feral, garrigue style of CdP.

ESTG pandemic breaker: This wine is immortal, as classic an example of Châteauneuf-du-Pape as you can imagine. Absolutely love it!
