Not so many notes. This is a basic wine belonging to the cash cows and for a large target audience. Full bodied, juicy, fruity and supple all the way. The balance between acidity and sweetness is perfectly ok, but there is no real complexity.

According to the producer the 2009 is a more difficult vintage than 2008; less full bodied and more classical. Of course he is right. The fruits is very ok, as well as the luxurious oak, but the tannin is still quite harsh. There is some sweetness and spiciness as well. I guess the wine needs some more bottle ageing than the 2008 before it starts showing its merits; probably wise to wait until 2019. 91++

This wine is quite different from the 2006. The bouquet shows a nice bouquet of flowers. On the palate a pleasant, a bit sweet start of juicy fruits, some earthiness and friendly acidity. Already so friendly and much more approachable than the 2006.

The bouquet is completely locked..... in fact there is no bouquet at all…… On the palate a bit edgy and green, but on the other hand also ok with firm tannin and a touch of sweetness. Impossible to score this wine. Certainly not sure if it is great. If I had any, I would give it another try around 2015…

Spreading through the mouth with only beautiful impressions like sweet spices, juicy fruits, beautiful acidity and beautifully soft tannin with a pleasant bite. This is a great wine already and it has plenty of future. For today I score it 94, but 95 is close by and 96 around 2020 very likely. I should buy a few bottles of this wine.

A special wine made of the Pigato grape. The bouquet is reticent, there is a huge amount of green apple and really much bitterness in the finish. With a price above $40 it should be special, but with hardly any bouquet, one dimensional green apples and so much bitterness I don't appreciate this wine. Probably tells more about me than about the wine. Could it be that this wine needs some ageing? I can't tell. 81-86+?
