I find that the key to schrader is to slow ox. With air most become disjointed but stay beautiful with a slow ox. This wine really opened up at 3 hours. Full bodied and rich with nice acidty and some earthiness. There is a thickness which keeps it from getting a higher score

This bottle was overtly sweet. Tannin/acidity gone. Atypical cab taste. Not great

Initially tight with no nose, but after decanting for 30 mins it started to open up. Drank over 2 hours and it continued to become richer and sweeter. Sweet blackberry and cherry. This is in a good spot.

Intoxicating nose of anise, currant, and sweet caramel. We drank a few glasses and recorked and drank the rest the next day. A richer and more concentrated example of monte bello with lots of cassis, spice and earthy notes. Very precise with no hard edges. A great showing. .

Fantastic. Very sweet nose of raspberry, strawberry and cotton candy. Wine is rich, sweet, silky with a nice finish. Despite the richness it is still very light with no heaviness. Surprisingly approachable already.

Amazing nose. Crazy complexity. Pungent complex nose of strawberry, leather, hay cigar box, freeze dried wild blueberries. Great mouthfeel. Sour cherry, blueberry hints.

This wine has evolved beyond expectations. Great wine.

Nose is limestone, moss, strawberry, nutmeg. Palate medium body, cherry, bumbleberry. Finish is long but dry and midpalate lacks some persistence.

Beautiful wine. Lots of delicious cassis, blackberry and cherries. Lots of sweet fruit but relative to other vintages less oak and more balance, less opulence. Definitely needs a good 60-90 mins to really express itself.

Great pinot. Probably the best aubert ive had. Layers and layers of rich fruit (raspberry, strawberry, cranberry), yet maintains freshness and a lightness, which takes this to another level.

Bright floral nose. Rich on the palette with some remaining tannin and slight bitterness on the finish. This is nice now but given the fruit/tannin profilewill be amazing in 5-10 years.

WOW. What an amazing wine. Drank over 2 days. First and foremost what stands out is the silky, sexy texture with absolutely delicious fruit. The wine is very rich but surprisingly fresh, but this is definitely on the rich end of the spectrum. Blackberry and blueberry, with tart cherry and some smoked meats on the palate with very silky tannin

I was expecting this to be way too early but its drinking well with a decant. Its a well integrated soft, feminine wine with silky tannin. There isnt a lot of midpalate depth but there are no flaws. If you want to stay in the family, the mascot for a fraction of the price is better imo.

Probably the best 17 ive had. This has plush fruits with lots of dark cherry and some blueberry, with hints of minerality, but much less than other vintages as this is more fruit forward. You would never know this is a cool vintage as there are no green notes (nor any smoke taint). I am really impressed with the quality here and i might need to reassess and open some of these outpost’s earlier.

Ive been holding onto this since release to see how the aubert’s/Lauren’s age. First this was an amazing wine with a rich oily profile and more pear peach flavor profile. This wine is at peak with tannin fully resolved and drinking beautifully. I would drink in the next year. What was noticeable was that there wasnt the distinctive meyer lemon taste and smell of younger Lauren’s and the question is what profile you prefer because both young and old Lauren delivers a great drinking experience.

Think there must be bottle variation as my previous bottle 3 years ago was sweet and overly extracted. This was pnp and was high toned, red fruits, with lots of minerality and tannin. Started to mellow and with air.

Amazingly smooth and silky. Very tasty, med body cassis, black cherry, with a touch of minerality. What stands out is the lightness that this wine displays against the nice fruit. Tannin are ample but very sweet and while it will certainly get better as the tannin integrates, this bottle was amazing now. Interesting contrast to the 15 schrader lpv, which was more dense with deeper flavors, but more “chunky”. While this schrader bottle was nice, it was really overshadowed by the mm.

Rich blueberry flavors upon pnp with excellent persistence. While this was opulent the tannin keeps the wine from being overdone and overextracted. Great value.

Well made wine in a tough vintage. Good news is there wasn’t any of the green streak present in many 11’s and the wine has nice structure and balance. The wine lacked a bit in the midpalate but had a long finish. It seems to be at peak but will go well for years.
