Very nice young Langhe Nebbiolo. True, tasty. More berry flavor than a lot of young Langhe that I've had, but the structure is still there. I think this will age, if I do not drink it all soon.

Smells really great, lots of nice earthy smells here. But in the mouth....there's not much. Not much structure, tannin, much of anything anymore. I mean, it's not offensive but it's not much of anything.
White - Off-dry
Oh, it's ripe. Today, this is a dessert wine. There's balancing acidity and plenty of interesting flavors, it's not ponderous to drink and a very pleasant wine but it's sweet. I do like it and I think the sweetness might be good with spicy food. We'll see, maybe.
Red
Real Cornas. No fake. Nice bottle of wine, this has good structure, fruit and Cornas character. I like!
Red
Really delicious right when the cork is pulled. Clearly burgundy, very drinkable and pleasurable. I'm feeling like this wine is really good now and probably for a few years to come. Something to drink while you age your PC and GC....

Night 2, much better. Tasting less obvious with more structure, less ripe fruit flavor. Tonight this is much more interesting and I like it. Still on the riper side, this seems a bit "international" not what I look for in Sangiovese. But it's drinkable and pleasant. I'm just thinking more of a steak than a big plate of fettuccini alfredo.

First night, a bit slick. Ripe, big wine. I'd like a bit "less" here, right now it's not my bag.
Red
Pulled out another bottle and it's consistent. Happy, enjoyable wine. It's a party. The kind of party I want to be invited to.
Red
First night, all ripeness and plummy fruit. Second night, it's leaner, the structure comes out and it's really really nice, definitely cab franc and one I really like. Will buy again for sure, haven't had a bad wine or even a mediocre one from Martin Woods yet!
Red
In context, not the most elegant or refined langhe nebbiolo. If you are looking for Audrey Hepburn, she's not here, man. This is Anna Nicole Smith.

Run away. DNPIM. My notes say this is Morgon but it's rose in color, many big chunks of sediment and it smells like turpentine. I don't know what happened here but I do not like it. I'm very open minded to natural wines but this one is just plain not good. I couldn't pour it down the sink fast enough.
Red
Yeah, night 2 I'm still tasting smoky oak. There's some fruit and some balancing acidity so I think it would be a nice wine but for the oak.

First night, seems too marked by oak. I'll give it another night.

Nice red fruits, good acidity some tannin. Quite nice now for a young nebbiolo. Will it age? Maybe. But it's not wrong to drink it now. Happy wine.
Red
Excellent, excellent trousseau. Smells right, tastes right, this is truly delicious and can only come from one place. In no danger of being over the hill either.
Red
Nice, resolved but delicious. Tannin and acidity have faded, fruit is a touch sweeter than something like Puffeney but it is cali. Tastes of trousseau though and it’s a very nice wine. Not sure it’s a whole lot “better” than it was when young, but both stages are certainly delicious. Nice wine!!
Red
Nice bottle, held up over 3 days open. It's got a nice beat, I could dance to it.
White - Sparkling

Very enthusiastic wine. Color of a rose. Effervescence of diet coke and mentos. But when I caught some dripping down from the ceiling, it tasted really good. Like catching snowflakes on your tongue, only better. No, seriously, this was nice Pinot Rose champagne, less sweet and more Pinot than billecart for sure. Not bad at all.
Red
Quite nice for a Crozes, this is dense and rhoney. Lots of non fruit things going on here, quite a mouthful but nothing I would consider not correct. Earth, pepper, I can dig figs as someone else said, a little camphor but not bad, overall a very nice bottle of northern rhone syrah that is of place yet not cornas or cote rotie. Nothing wrong with this!!

My dear, I fear your horse has a bit of a flatulence problem. We shall see if it passes overnight and revisit tomorrow.

Day 2, less methane, more wine. But still not for the Brett-averse, at least this bottle. Drinkable but not terribly enjoyable.

I do not understand this wine at all. There is fruit, identifiable as Pinot Noir. I like Pinot Noir. But it's sweet. No alco-burn, just confected fruit. I want to like it because it's not a high-alcohol, overextracted monster. But does this have RS? Maybe that's not better than excess alcohol in a Pinot. And there's oak. And a little oak is OK with Pinot, if it's a part of the whole. But this isn't. It's like walking into a room and there's a vat of sweet Pinot fruit in one corner and an oak barrel on the other side. It's that separate. Maybe the wine is in an awkward place? It's 7 years old, maybe more time would bring some focus? But right now, I'm not enjoying this bottle - I see some interesting things but it's a bit like a 7 year old human....some things that make you think everything is going to be OK and some things that make you sit up in your seat and wonder if it's all going to turn out well.

really quite delicious. Clearly Pinot, good structure. A pleasure to drink and goes really well with food - enough acidity to cut something fatty like homemade porchetta from belly.

Good wine, very drinkable and a nice match with seafood. But lacking the explosive taste of the 2002 consumed alongside. The 2002 was super, this was merely fine.

delicious wine. Drank from 375 with the 2000 (375) and the 1998 (750) and some delicious seafood. slight touch of botrytis, nothing like the 1998 which was a botrytis-bomb - this was light, crisp and delicious. yum.

Just outstanding. A little closed when initially opened, but after about an hour in the glass, she woke up. This is what burgundy should taste like. Wow. I wish I had bought more.

Awful. Too ripe, this was a wine beverage, not a wine with any sense of place. Glad it was my only bottle.

Excellent wine, drinking at peak now. Tasted blind in a flight with 3 other wines: a Mugnier Musigny, a Roumier Chambolle Les Cras and a Richebourg and it was not completely out of place. A little more rustic, with some poop and a little iron/blood, but really excellent burgundy especially for the price. I would happily drink this wine every day.

Just excellent. Had it with homemade Duck Confit and it was perfect. Some fruit, but not too much, good minerality.

Started out weird, fruity like Gamay and a little simple. After about an hour, gained complexity and Northern rhone Syrah character. Very nice wine and an absolute steal at the price.

Pretty good, for a California Merlot. Lousy match with Chicken Saltimbocca and bowtie pasta. Is this really Chianti?

too young. Decanted for ~2 hours and was still disjointed. All the components are in place, but not together yet. Improved after several more hours, and was even better on the next day. Let them sleep.
