Tannins are well integrated. Palate is smooth. Fruit is restrained enough. But I can't get over the amount of oak still lurking.

Not a bad way to start Thanksgiving but a bit too fruit forward for me.

Deep red in color. Dark fruit mostly on the nose with a small amount of graphite and chicolate. Palate of plum, cherry, cocoa and a bit of earth. Nicely balanced with the fruit a bit out front but the tannins frim and the acidity adding to its depth. Nice finish and mouthfeel. Consumed with grilled ribeye, farro and vegetables. Made for a pleasant Sunday night meal. Nice QPR, great for casual drinking.

Dark Garnet in color. Dark fruit, herbs and oak on the nose. Palate of blackberries, pomegranate, eucalyptus, oak and herbs. Fruit prominent but somewhat balanced by acidity and herbs. No entirely one dimensional but not too complex. I enjoyed my previous bottle a bit more than this one.

Decanted for an hour. Fantastic bottle. Complex aroma including blackberry, blue flower, herbs, and stone. Exceptional balance and complexity on the palate with notes of blackberry and blueberry, stone, earthy beets, white pepper, and much much more that comes with time in the glass. Elegant experience in stark contrast to previous bottle that was consumed and also enjoyed on the same night.

Wow. This was a huge surprise. PnP. Nose of fig, plum, anise and spice. Palate showed its age but was amazingly complex with tannins still lurking and integrated. Ripe dark fruit, wet tobacco, earth, cherry, fennel, spices all weaving through a long, satisfying finish. Maybe it was the fact that we were celebrating my son's 21st bday but what a great experience.

PnP at Guildhal in Glencoe. Nose of blakberries, mocha and a hint of licorice. Palate is definitely fruit forward dominated by blueberry and vanilla with blackberry and small amount of mint. Well integrated tannins. Nice easy drink that I enjoyed but not overly complex or interesting.

PnP. Purplish red in color, on the light side. Nose of ripe red fruit, eucalyptus and vanilla. Medium body and medium tannins with complex palate of plums, minerals, vanilla, a little spice, and a hint of earth. A bit acidic out of the bottle but that mellows out almost immediately and the wine becomes well balanced and extremely enjoyable .

Wow! Drank at Gilt Bar paired with octopus and spicy chorizo, tenderloin tartar, mussels in lemon herb broth, orecchiette with spicy pork, bone marrow with red onion jam. Stood up to everything.
Nose was ripe cherries with whiffs of damp earth and minerals. Palate was big and bold, a great balance between ripe fruit and earthy tones with a bit of chocolate and just a hint of acidity. Seemed to linger forever. Simply a great night of food and wine.

Popped and poured at Chef's Station in Evanston. Dark purple appearing. Ripe fruit and a little tar on the nose. Initially a bit tight but after a little air settled into a nice bottle. Ripe dark fruit with a little must on the palate. Very smooth w a relatively long finish. Paired well with Rack of Lamb and Mediterranean spiced Lamb Sausage. Quite a bit of sediment.

Ripe fruit initially with underlying mocha and hint of spice. Moderately long finish, Despite its youth drinking very well with nicely integrated tannins.

A bit disappointing. Considering my experience a month ago. Decanted about 30 minutes. Same barnyard funk on the nose. Same earthy overtones but much less fruit underlying on the palate. Still enjoyable but a step down from last bottle.
