White
Decanted four (4) hours. Similar observations from prior experience. Offers aromas of white peach, apricot, butterscotch, and crushed stone. Sumptuous presence on the palate presenting flavors of ripe stone fruits, baking spice and roasted nuts. Active acidity contributes necessary lift leading to rewardingly long saline finish. Plenty of verve left here and should drink well for at least another 3-5 years.

White
Last of six (6) Decanted for two (2) hours. Similar observations from prior experience. Double decanted as tartic buildup was significant. Offers expressive aromas of ripe lemon, dairy, sweet spice & honeysuckle. Lavish presence on the palate delivering flavors of ripe citrus with background notes of sweet spice and dairy. Energetic acidity provides necessary balance and lift leading to long lip-smacking finish. Delicious! Still displays ample energy to drink well for several years ahead.
Red
Decanted four (4) hours. Still requires a long decant but this is starting to reveal itself with some coaxing. Offers aromas of black/red cherry, cassis, black plum and baking spice with undertones of dark chocolate, leather and underbrush. Generous presence on the palate delivering combination of red/black fruit flavors on a dusty earthen foundation. Solidly structured with noticeable grip that requires significant patience to fully uncoil. Provides dry mouth-puckering finish. Reticence suggests the drinking window on this has just begun. I’m just not sure how long the fruit will hold up. Drink over next 3-5 years.
White
P-n-P. Offers muted aromas of red apple, apricot, honeysuckle, and acacia. Supple on the palate delivering flavors of ripe orchard fruit with background of chalky minerality that is lifted with bracing acidity. Nice evenly distributed finish. Paired beautifully with w/Coconut Curried Shrimp.
White
Decanted two (2) hours. Rich gold in color w/slight haze. Threw some sediment. Displays aromas of white pear, red apple, lemon curd, mango, orange blossom and baking spice. Lovely texture on the palate as luscious fruit is joined with lively acidity and distinct minerality. Rewards with long lip-smacking finish. Delicious now but will undoubtedly drink well through the decade and beyond.

Red
Two (2) years since last visited. Was anticipating a change, just not the one encountered. Similar aroma/flavor profile...black cherry, leather, cocoa powder, bouquet garni, forest floor, cedar. Just not enough acidity to provide necessary lift. Came off rather tired and flabby on the palate with truncated finish. One left...so will see if this is a one-off experience.

White
Decanted two (2) hours. My first Park Ave. Loads of white and yellow fruit aromas. Pear, Golden Apple, Lemon, Mango, combined with honeycomb and warm spice accents. Softly textured on the palate, luscious fruit joined with bright energetic acidity set up on a solid mineral base. Rewards with long lip-smacking finish. Reticent at four (4) years unveiling slowly as it warms. Undoubtedly will only get better with additional cellar time. If you can keep your hands off…revisit in three (3) years.

Red
Ten (10) years removed since last visit. Decanted four (4) hours. Displays aromas of raspberry, red cherry, red plum, rose petal & soy. Well composed with surprising lift at this stage. A combination of red fruit flavors are joined with notes of game and savory. Provides ethereal presence on the palate, that winds effortlessly to evenly distributed finish. Was not sure what to expect @ the fifteen (15) year mark for this wine but it showed plenty of verve at present and may likely drink well for another decade. Very enjoyable.

White
"HeyThat'sLife" summed it up very well. Nice dry Riesling. Presents aromas of red apple, pear & almond blossom. Linear and precise on the palate; orchard fruit is joined with robust laser like acidity on granite foundation. Provides clean evenly distributed finish.
White
Decanted one (1) hour. Took some coaxing. Displays aromas of white peach, pear, melon, lemon curd, dairy & honeysuckle. Angular on opening which I would attribute to truncated decant and serving temperature. Gained a head of steam with air and as temperature rose. Beautifully textured. Layers of orchard fruit flavors are joined harmoniously with honeyed accents set upon a mineral foundation. Elevated viscosity with active acidity delivers balanced presence on the palate leading to a long mouthcoating finish. Excellent effort that should drink well through the decade.
White
Almost a P-n-P…maybe a ½ hour decant. Just really could not resist even though the five (5) year mark really seems to be the entry point for these wines. Do not have much to say….just a stunning wine. Generous citrus & stone fruit, vanilla, spice with coiled verve & tension that unwinds into long mouthwatering finish. A pleasure wave to ride as it warms to room temperature. Just astounding. Wow!

Red
Decanted three (3) hours. Deep garnet in color. Reluctant at first but with extended decant exhibited aromas of lavender, red/black cherry, strawberry, garrigue, smoke & black pepper. Generous on the palate; abundant fruit is lifted with vibrant acidity that leads to long evenly distributed finish. Beautifully structured with significant depth. Can be had now with adequate decant but this will undoubtably drink well for a decade and beyond. Lovely.
Red

Inviting nose of violet, blackberry, black cherry, bouquet garni, roast meat, smoke, and tobacco. Would not wait any longer. This is squarely in its drinking window.

2010 Château La Confession St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Six (6) years since last visit and slumber has certainly been of benefit. Quite astringent then as tannins still required further integration. Slight perception of heat but ample fruit provides adequate cover to pull this off. Displays aromas of blueberry, blackberry, black currant, liquorice, pencil shavings, leather, and earth. Luscious, enveloping presence on the palate that gives way to evenly distributed spicy finish. Not fully resolved yet but getting there. My guess is this may have 3-5 years of peak performance left before tapering off. Drink now.
Red

Densely packed with incredible depth. Saturates the palate with luscious fruit flavors accented with tertiary elements leading to long rewarding finish. 2005 Château Doisy-Daëne Barsac Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend (view label images)
Medium gold. Presents aromas of peach, apricot, orange marmalade, marzipan, and honeysuckle. Delicate and surprisingly nimble on the palate. Ripe fruit is measured with adequate acidity leading to evenly distributed finish. No botrytis or cloying effect present and acidity is measured at present so it will be interesting to track its progression from here. A perfect accompaniment to goose liver pate and blue cheese, nonetheless.
White
Decanted three (3) hours. Presents intense aromas of apricot, peach, pineapple, mango, and lemon curd. Richly textured, ripe fruit is exquisitely balanced by bright bracing acidity and underlying minerality. Lusciously textured. Surrounds the palate giving way to long, lingering, lip-smacking finish. Another in a string of brilliant offerings from Aubert. Another observed that their desired drinking window for Aubert Chardonnay’s as five (5) years beyond release. I’m inclined to agree with this observation, but these will undoubtedly drink well for many years to come.

Mom & Dad’s birth year! Concerned initially on receipt as hard wax was partially crumbled, IVM seal slightly torn and signs of slight leakage. Forged ahead nonetheless and all was well in the end. Initially cloudy on decanting. This dissipated after a couple days revealing a rich dark mahogany color. Offers lovely aromas of sultana, fig, caramel, brown sugar, walnuts, and orange peel. Ethereal presence on the palate similar to light pancake syrup that is juxtaposed with well measured acidity. Winds effortlessly along to an incredibly long salty finish. Six days in and this just keeps getting better! Gorgeous Malmsey.
