2019 Château Poesia St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Jammy Zinfandel-like nose with hints of raspberry and cola. Sweet red fruit excites the upper palate with lingering finish. Tannins are grippy yet refined. Great price point. I'm a fan.

White
Lemony nose with hint of sea breeze. Briny, nice acidity. Paired great with food. Drank way too young. Will try to refrain from drinking the remaining bottles for at least five years.
Red
2019 Saunter Wines Swagger Napa Valley Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Popped and poured. Inky and full throttle but with very refined tannins. Excellent QPR.

One of the most un-chardonnay-like chardonnays I've tasted. Decent acidity but some RS and tasted a lot like an off-dry Reisling. I definitely would have failed if tasted blind.

Outstanding. The best of the 2015 Shea line up to date. Ripe cherry on the nose. Excites all dimensions of the palate. Cherry cola on a long finish. Very fruit forward. Seamless. Although in a very good place now, this should only get better over the next five years.
Red
Consistent with my note on 1/18/22. Still outstanding. This could easily go another 10 years.
Red
A beast of a wine. Somewhat disjointed at this stage. Would benefit with more bottle age or a lengthy decant.
Red
Cherry pie, cedar, vanilla, and smoke on the nose and palate. Plush mouthfeel leading to a medium finish. Low acidity.
Red
PnP'd. Syrah as good as it gets. Seamless. On a similar playing field as Alban, SQN, Saxum. Very enjoyable.
Red
2018 Epoch Estate Wines Veracity Paso Robles Willow Creek District Red Rhone Blend (view label images)
PnP'd. Consistent with other's notes. Fruit forward. Rich and complex with nice structure and soft tannins. Drinking very well at this stage.
Red
2017 Slide Hill by J. Dirt Edna Valley Grenache Blend, Grenache (view label images)
Used for cooking. Almost undrinkable.
Red
Consistent with other's notes. Not as enjoyable on its own as it was with a steak.
Red
Popped and poured. After trying this wine over the years, it has finally achieved nirvana. Very expressive and balanced. Unfortunately, my last bottle.

Wonderful secondary notes on the nose with nice ripe red and black fruit on the palate. Well structured and nicely balanced. Great QPR.

Drank over two days. Not in a good place. Unbalanced. Maybe starting to turn.
Red
Popped and poured. Deep color, pleasant nose, juicy red fruit with soft tannins. Enjoyable. Good with or without food. Very drinkable now. Great QPR.
Red
Popped and poured. Seamless from the chute. Rich and plush with no funk.
Red
2018 L'Aventure Optimus 20th Anniversary Paso Robles Willow Creek District Red Blend (view label images)
Very young but still great. Significantly improved after being opened 24 hours.
Red
This was a WOW wine, and is in such a great place. Popped and poured. Great nose, fruit bomb, soft integrated tannins, and lingering finish. Powerful and very enjoyable.
Red
Color and nose reminds me of an Oregon Pinot Noir. Forest floor and potpourri with a hint of dark berry. Heavy, syrupy mouth feel that starts out soft and juicy on front of palate and leads to a very dry medium finish. Very pleasant with food. I did not get the metallic notes that others had mentioned. Note sure I agree with the 96 given by Parker but probably somewhere in the low 90s would be more appropriate for me.
Red
2016 Château Pontet-Canet Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Decanted 8 hours before drinking. Consistent with other notes. Although young, very enjoyable now. Hedonistic. Almost black, full bodied, intoxicating nose of potpourri and dark fruits. Great mouthfeel and finish.

Fresh, crisp and dry with fine bubbles. Great QPR.
White - Sparkling
Delightful tiny bubbles. Great crisp and fresh mouthfeel. The effervescence in the glass continued throughout the duration of the meal. One of the best champagnes I've had in a long time.

Decided to open this special occasion wine for a weekday dinner along with a 2015 Pahlmeyer. I had my wife taste both blind and she thought the '05 Block One was fresher and bigger than the Pahlmeyer. I'm never disappointed with the quality of these Sineann Block Ones.
Red
A little lighter style of Prive that I'm accustom to. Balanced, easy drinker. I think the first of second year under the new winemaker/owner.
Red
This is in a great place. Balanced and concentrated. Mouth puckering dark fruit.

2017 Andrew Will Sorella Champoux Vineyard Horse Heaven Hills Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Lots of potential but way too young to enjoy now, even after day two. I'll let the others rest for five years before trying again.
Red
PnP'd. Balanced with loads of structure. The tannins and fruit should give this life for at least a decade.
Red
PnP'd. Great depth and structure. Tannins were a bit rough though. Will wait to open the others or decant for several hours beforehand.
White
Nose of lemon chiffon and butterscotch. Plush on the palate with mouth puckering acidity and good viscosity. Well balanced and very enjoyable.
Red
Quintessential Claret made Robert Foley style. Very pleased.
Red
Stellar. PnP'd. Inky crimson. Tons of fruit, extra full bodied. Never had a Merlot pushing 16% that was so balanced, especially one this age. Could go another 5 years on the drinking window.
Red
P&P'd. Dark and full-bodied. I thought this was primarily Cab Franc because of the notes and was surprised that it was mostly Cab Sauv. Very balanced for its youth and the tannins were present but refined and soft. Easy drinker at this stage.
White - Sweet/Dessert
This one needs a 'Love' button.

I'm not familiar with other wines from this producer but this was very enjoyable. Good with or without food. More on the feminine side of Shiraz. Great finish.
White
Interesting nose of toasted nuts and wet rock. Lower acidity than expected. Easy drinker by itself but also paired nicely with crab.
White
Opened along with a Cakebread and Flowers Chardonnay for a recent dinner. Leaner and higher acidity than the other two wines. Reminded me of the Wente clone Chardonnays from Dehlinger. All good wines but this was the crowd favorite.

2015 Château Sansonnet St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Inky with great cabernet nose. Full-bodied. Chalky and dry on the palate. Would have not guessed this to be French if drinking blind. Great QPR.

Recently purchased through a private client sale. Still some fruit but feels tired and lacks structure. Unsure how it was previously stored.
Red
PnP'd. Consistent with other's notes. This is a wonderful mature cabernet. I was a bit concern by the brickish color but the nose, texture and palate were consistent B1. Drinking window through 2025 appears reasonable depending on storage.
White
Interesting nose of caramel, oak, grapefruit and lemon. Light on the palate with good balance. Medium acidity. Nice finish. Great experience. Still going strong.
Red
2018 Levo Tearing at the Seams Santa Barbara County Red Blend (view label images)
PnP'd. Inky dark, viscous, floral and fruity nose, juicy black fruit that tingles the tongue and feeds the front of the palate. Medium finish. Great QPR.

Served with venison tenderloin. PnP'd. Inky black and ripe dark fruit. Still quite balanced and drinking beautifully. A bit more refined than it was 10+ years ago but still outshines other cabs in its class. Sorry to see my last bottle gone but it was worthy of a special occasion.
Red
Arrived the other day from a recent winery offering of the 2008 vintage Jemrose and Judge Syrahs. PnP'd. Seamless and balanced with plush dark mouthwatering fruits and a lengthy chalky finish. This is in a great place and should easily age another 5 years before declining.
