With BradE. For its age, still a very pleasing wine especially after breathing in the glass for awhile. Thanks, Brad!

Only good for those who enjoy a sweet wine and vanilla. Wouldn’t even use it for cooking

Again, got to try this with BradE — THANKS!!! I agree with his tasting note…fading but still a treat to drink. Time to drink up if you are lucky enough to have some in your cellar.

Thanks to BradE, we got to try this vintage. The nose after decanting was off and we pondered not drinking it at all. But, it improved greatly in the decanter after 2+hours. Not profound, but very nice.

Last of our bottles, this time from a magnum. Lots of smoke flavors on the nose and palate for the first hour or so. Then those distracting notes faded away leaving behind a lovely Pinot noir.

Popped & poured. Thoroughly delightful from the start. Head & shoulders above the '99 Chateau Montelena Estate Cab served alongside. Terrific wine.

To be charitable, this Pinot noir may appeal to folks with different preferences as to palate. That said, I thought this bottle was a very poor example of the grape. Huge vanilla nose and excessively sweet.

Very enjoyable and our first bottle from the 2008 vintage. Tart red fruit and spice. Not over-oaked to me. Should last a few more years easily.

Very youthful and fruit-driven upon opening, and improved/mellowed with air (did not decant, but will next time). Lovely wine with several years ahead of it.

Last of our '99s. Still remarkably structured and in need of air. That said, it remains a lovely merlot if at the end of its drinking window.

Very well-made wine, but on the austere side of the spectrum for my palate. Best with food.

First of our 2008 vintage as we tend to like our wine with a bit of bottle age. Very lovely pinot noir. Light on its feet, as are most Windy Oaks pinot. Delightful blend of red fruit and spice.
