I had tried the wine on Friday. Had not liked it. It has gotten better, I must admit

Each time I try a “natural” wine (and I promise I am rooting for it to be otherwise) I remember Victor Hugo’s brilliant dictum: “God made only water, but man made wine”.

This bottle was delicious, with leathery, floral and mild red berry notes and a silken palate. Classic Pomerol.

Dark purple color. Initially coffee, oak (subtle), tobacco on the nose, then blackberry, black currant. Powerful, tannic on palate. Nice St. Joseph. Much better than other Cornas, Rosine I've tried recently

Bought with Nacho and Pedro with '99 D. Laurent G-C 1er Cru & '99 Harmand Geoffory Mazis-Chambetin GC. This was drank at Sushi Ko next to Leroy. Much darker, more body, nice but not as sultry. Others were drank at Les Halles. Quite good. Laurent had stran

Nose was very muted, even after opening 5 hours prior to consumption and brief decanting. Very nice on palate. Needs more time and/or longer decanting

Delightful wine, drank just at the right time. Amazing how serious and complex a Valpolicella can get

Lovely Brunello, but needs more time to develop classic profile. Some interesting aromas: initially a woody/dry fish aroma I associate with Malbec and Pond's Hand Cream, then pine resin

I find this wine delicious. It has distinct character and is a joy to drink a 7+ years of age

What a shame! Loved it a two years ago and searched for it all over the Internet. This bottle was sour, acidic, like bad old Barolo..

Fantastic wine! No wonder it beat out all of the "big guys" in an Executive Wine Seminar blind tasting. All the gamey, garrigue smells you would expect of a Cote Rotie with great depth and length.

Purchased online (with Latour '71) for my 37th birthday. Drank with Pedro, Tomás and Nacho at Komi in Washington, DC. Absolutely delicious. Looked, smelled and tasted half its age. I never cease to be amazed by the aging potential of bordeaux.

Absolutely gorgeous, classic bordeaux. Color (dark granate), aromas and palate extremely youthful for a 37 year old wine. Loved it and the Palmer '71 tasted next to it. Can't remember now (6 years later) which I preferred, but both are unforgettable.

Absolutely delicious! One of my guests, upon trying it said: "What is this wine?" with a look of amazement. Just right to drink at 10 years of age. Silky, balanced, great youngish merlot aromas. Lacks the complexity that perhaps will come with age, but an absolute joy to drink. Bought at the property. Recently ordered 6 bottles.

Light and fairly tired, paled next to the 1971 Latour and 1971 Palmer we drank which where dark and rich and classic bordeaux and seemed decades younger.

Delicious classic bordeaux aromas of cedar and leather. Very nice wine, but not as deep or exhuberant as its sibling '82 Gruaud Larose

Darker, fresher and more precise than the Conterno Cascina Francia '95 tasted next to it. More powerful, but less varietal characteristics, with new oak piercing through in a fairly unobtrusive way. Should improve and reveal more with a few years cellaring.
