Slight oaky, hint of vanilla and blueberry. Overall, drinking very nicely. Glad I waited on this one.

A good wine but I had trouble with this being any more than an average offering. I might need to lay down for longer.

Fantastic wine. Nicely integrated. I would be impressed if it could get much better with time. Looking to backfill the one bottle I had.

A nice Merlot for the money. Good fruit with tannins mostly in check although it does have a slight after-bite. Definitely better once it had a chance to breathe.

Poorly made. Overly extracted to the point where it tasted like a grape fruit cooler. While not expensive by any means, it was a waste of money.

Solid offering. Nice balance of fruit, oak, tannins. Might improve slightly with a little more time.

A very tasty Syrah. Solid fruit in balance with the tannins. Probably has at least a few more years left but drinking quite well now.

It's early on but still tasted quite good. Bright, vibrant fruits balanced with good acid. Feels like it will be a strong performer in 3-4 years.

At this point, the wine is on the down hill slope although it is still quite tasty. There was an interesting build up of sediment inside the neck of the bottle just under the cork. Fruit still good although waning.

Solid offering, Good acid although the tannins are mellowing. Will need to check back in a few years.

Enjoyable but it has slipped past its prime. The fruit is still there (berries) but the tannins have mellowed so much, the wine was falling somewhat flat.

Vibrant flavors of fruit yet smooth. This may get a little better with time but it quite enjoyable at this point.

First day, pretty disjoint and sharp. Second day seems to have mellowed it although I think it really needs a couple of years more.

Nicely settled down, good balance of fruit and tannins. Did not take much time to open ~ 1 hour should be fine.

Really needs to open up so give this time - not a pop and pour. After 2-3 hours. I felt it reached its peak. Still a little tannic bite but under control. Nice fruit, perhaps a little on the thin side but definitely enjoyable with food.

Great QPR - nice balance of fruit and acidity. Had both with and without food. Smooth all around.

Accidentally opened it thinking it was a Zin. Not too pleased with it. Maybe it's just not my style but it is way too tart (say sour cherry) for me. Not a terrible Pinot but certainly not one I would have again.

This was my second bottle - a significant disappointment. The cork came out a little too easy. Wine was flat and acidic. Bad bottle.

Needed to open for about 30 minutes to blow off an alcohol overtone. Was really nice after that, warm berry and deep fruits.

Really liked how this wine has already come together. Good fruit balanced with modest tannins. Structured for the long haul. Looking to replace my one and only bottle with more!

I tried (and tried) to give this room to improve with air but it just topped out. No hints of citrus. Disappointing.

I was really surprised for just how good this was considering the young age. Fruit and tannins are in a nice plan. It does make me think of a cross between a cab and a pinot. Regardless, I will be buying more!

Initial P-n-P was a little disjoint. Let the bottle sit open for a couple of hours and it came to life. Dark, inky, and savory.

A little on the young side but totally enjoyable as is. Good mountain fruit and structure. Plan on picking up a few more bottles and pop them every 2 years to see how this develops.

Some blue but mostly black fruit balanced against just the right amount of tannins. There was a hint of licorice (noted in other tastings). Overall, well worth the price.

My first Rhys and now I know what I have been missing. Deep, slightly smokey, fruit, and silky tannins. Drank beautifully across a 3 day period.

Wonderful fruit aroma however; fruit is constrained to the taste. Tannins are smooth. A very nice Zinfandel! I would not expect much life though so drink up over the next 3-5 years.

In true Silver Oak style, modest oak, mellowing tannins, and a hint of vanilla. At 7 years of age, it is starting to get into a nice area but could easily use another 5-10 years.

OK - this is the first time I am experiencing "barnyard funK" and now I can appreciate the term! However; once you get past it (it dissipates within 30 mins), the underlying is northern Rhone like - savory, meaty with mild fruit in the background.
