Not much there initially. After being open and decanted for four hours, its personality (dark fruit and wonderful aromas) began to emerge.

Had it with friends who usually only drink reds. They polished off the bottle in short order. 85% Rhone whites with 8% Chenin Blanc. Another example of Justin Smith going off on his own, creative way. Outstanding - I will buy more when given the chance.

Decanted for two hours, drank over two nights. A massive wine that is well balanced. Was delightful with a BBQ ribeye. Bouquet of dark ripe berries and baking spices, with some pepper. Pepper noticeable on the taste, along being very earthy and dark fruit. Second night still outstanding. Mr. Justin Smith, Bravo!

Barnyard, mushroom, old wood, tobacco, leather, licorice - on the nose. Inky dark black. Tastes of dark fruit, touch of mint on the finish, dirt, chocolate, tobacco. An amazing achievement. Enjoying this with an Italian who knows her wine - Extraordinary, she says! The 94 is an average - I gave it a 97. Went beautifully with zucchini parmigiana.
