Stunning wine. Lots going on. Balanced, full bodied, rich dark fruit, earthy on the back finish. Complex. Years left. Another home run for Peter Michael….

Gorgeous wine, lots of dark fruit, some leather and minerality. Tannins are present, but not overwhelming. Very full on the back palette. Drinking beautiful today. Had with Grilled brie, apricot and black forest ham sandwiches, and a spicy chili. Surprisingly a wonderful pairing Years left on this wine, and we have another 5 in the cellar. Think I will hold it for at least 3-4 years before trying again. This one is a keeper.

Beautiful. Had with a superior beef fillet cut. Drank to commemorate a friend’s 60th birthday. Pulled about 30 minutes before dinner. Should have pulled it earlier. Decanted and poured 2 glasses. Wine on first taste was closed and kinda non descript. I could taste the alcohol (hot). Kinda left it alone for about 30 minutes in the glass. As night progressed wine kept getting better and better. Big and bold. Bright dark fruit, some smoke and a bit of leather. Big finish…. Wine has years left. Wish I had more. Great wine, world class…

It's beautiful wine, 100% Paloma style. PnP and drinking beautiful. This was our last bottle and at it's prime. I would not recommend holding this wine any longer. Jammy red fruit was apparent on the nose at opening. Did not decant, after 30 minutes in the glass earthiness come to the front palate, followed by minerality, cedar and graphite. Really nice wine.

Drinking beautiful. Opened to serve with Pulled Pork Sandwiches and spicy conch chowder. The funk was gone. Blue fruit, nicely balanced and a rich mouth feel. WE had coravined the bottle for a taste on 9/30/2019. I added a note to try in 1 year. It was almost 1.5 years. I like my Reynvaan Syrah's once the funk blows off. But that is just my opinion, I know lots of folks like that Cayuse style Syrah funk. It was much better on the 2nd go around.

Beautiful on first taste. We decanted for about an hour. The wine, is balanced, lots of deep black fruit, deep garnet in color, clear, no brown edges, a nice floral nose, elegant with a soft mouth feel. I could taste the brambly dark fruit, some cedar, licorice, graphite & some minerality on the finish. The wine softened even more as the evening progressed. I served with a caprese salad, ribeye, baked sweet potato, and veggies. Spectacular bottling, and I wish we had more. A memorable world class wine.

This wine is an infant. Needs time, don’t touch for 2-3 years. Wait for it, I believe this MAY be an epic wine. Loads of dark red and black fruit. After a decant at 5 pm, immediate feel was a hot (alcohol bite). This is a tannic wine which will soften with time. George describes with some taste currant and cherry.

Young, needs more time in bottle & cellaring. Wait until 2021 to try again.
The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like black pepper, blackberry, black currant (cassis), cedar and lead pencil. It tastes like blackberry and black currant (cassis). The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Unfortunately this was our last bottle of the 2013 Lamborn Zinfandel and the bottle was flawed. So sad too, because it is normally a wonderful wine. I have to wonder if maybe we kept it too long. It was bitter, no fruit on the front as normal for a Lamborn Zin. Also almost musty and barnyard on the nose.

Tried this wine on 2/23/19. Was not at all impressed upon first taste. It was rough, hot, no fruit and I felt it was flawed. I almost dumped it down the drain. Husband, says wait. I sat the glass aside for about 2 hours, it opened up beautiful. I was surprised. Lots of dark fruit, good balance, and not funky like most Walla Walla Syrah’s. I’m glad I waited, served it with pork chops slow grilled on the BBQ with a BBQ dry rub. Very nicely compliment with the spicy BBQ.

It was okay. Used the corvin over several days. Gonna give it one more try tonight to see if it has improved. Jury still out. It's got that Cayuse and Reynvaan funk, some love it, some don't.

Typical of Orin Swift wines, a bit ole fruit bomb. For me it was just okay, sweet and syrupy. I prefer my wines with a bit more character and less of the sweet. I'm sure it is a crowd pleaser for many.

This is a different Sauvignon Blanc. I really liked it because it was different. I tasted some minerality and stone fruit. I tasted peaches, apricots, and nectarines. Not a long finish, but enough for me. Not a typical big grapefruit or heavy citrus sauvignon blanc. I like it enough to call the Winery to see if they have more. Sherwin is not known for their Sauv Blancs, but this one I think should be a keeper on their wine list.

Took a 1.5 to dinner in Boca Grande, Florida at the Temptation. Fabulous bottle of wine. The mag is drinking perfectly right now. Lots of dark fruit, a bit of chocolate, mild tannins, some graphite and cedar is what I remember. I would advise drinking any magnums in the 1-2 years, I would not hold it any longer as I think it will start fading. It was a beautiful well balanced and approachable wine. We did not decant it. Drank it over about 2.5 hours, we had friends....

Pretty wine, holding up well for an 11 year old wine. Cork was on the brittle side so we ended up destroying it trying to get it out. Nonetheless. Great wine that improved over 2 - 3 hrs. Did not decant, although had to strain cork bits out. WE love Viader wines....

Tasted this at the Winery on 6/17/18 From Winery Cellar. Served with roasted lamb, beet salad, asparagus, and roasted fingerling potato's.
The wine looks inky colored. The legs are slow. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like forest floor, black currant (cassis), espresso and cedar. It tastes like blackberry, black currant (cassis), cedar, lead pencil and tobacco.

Beautiful wine, dark fruit, peppery, lush with great structure. Classic Howell Mountain Zin. It's got time and will only improve with additional cellaring. Goes great with BBQ ribs.

Opened on 12/9/2017 for our Annual Christmas Party and Wine Extravaganza This was the sleeper wine of the evening. Everyone that tasted this wine loved it. I had pulled it because it was not a wine we had tried before. Surprise Surprise. Very drinkable with interesting berry fruit flavors and beautiful balance. This is grape generally used for blending, and we were quite surprised to find it this beautiful. Moral of the story, don't be afraid to try different wines, you may get a wonderful surprise....

Opened on 12/9/2017 for our annual Christmas Party and Wine Extravanganza. So disappointed, the wine was corked. We had opened the wine to share with dear friend before the party got started. Ended up dumping after decanting for 1.5 hrs. It was bad.

This thing is a big tannic and tight bomb. Needs time! I was impatient and needed to try it. Bought at the winery without trying it. It's something for sure, but requires some cellar aging to come into it's own. I expect in 3 years it will be quite lovely. Have 4 bottles left.

When I opened the bottle, I wasn't sure if it would be good. Had just dumped two bottles of Sherwin Family Syrah because they were oxidized. Poured about 1/2 glass then waited for about 2 hours and it ended up being a decent bottle of wine. Fruit came out and sure wouldn't win any awards but nice soft.

Over due, tossed. Was beautiful 2-3 years ago. Not so much nowwwwww. Sad and a Sin to have to toss it out. We have committed Wine Sins by holding wines too long.

Pretty wine and pleasant to drink, pear, peach and some citrus, nose at first hints at vanilla. Has smokey and toasty nuances. George would like this wine.

Gorgeous bright fruit, loads of red fruit and subtle tanning. Loved this wine. Drank after having a 2004 Viader V, which was gorgeous, but bold and leathery, with lots of cedar. Was a great but this is better. Lovely drinkable wine, not too big, but enough character to be a great drinking wine today. Should Open one of these for the 2017 Christmas Party...

Drank on 6/25/17. Cork was very difficult to remove. Past its end drink date. A small amount of fruit, more European in character with lots of tobacco, leather and earthy flavors. Definitely not my style, although it was Okay, finished the bottle. Would recommend drinking during it's prime.
