Some noticeable brett along with ripe red(raspberry, strawberry, cherry) and black (blackberry, plum) fruit. noticeable structure, I probably won't open the other ones I have for a number of years.

much more on the citrus side of things than stone fruit as other reviewers have mentioned. Maybe this should have been opened closer to release for that freshness. Still very high acid and concentration so I imagine saving these for another 5+ years wouldn't be a bad idea. Not my style.

Gorgeous wine. Deep garnet with a slight orange hue. The nose is immense, smells like an old book store, but filled with ripe strawberries and black cherries. Subtle spice, both on the nose and the palate, clove, mint, cardamom, and dry summer soil. This is super approachable, but still feels like it can go on for a long time. I'll probably try and hold my other bottles a few years before opening another one, but it will be hard.

Edit: also hints of sage and rhubarb.

I'm sad to say that I probably can't justify buying these wines anymore. I'm not sure if this was an off bottle or not but it feels like every other Lafon I drink is off.

Wine of the night for many people in a dinner a few weeks ago. Surprising considering some of the other wines. Very awesome.

consistently one of my favorite wines. So much depth but all light on it's feet. red fruits and florals, white flowers, mineral, purple flowers, amazing.

another good 2014 Fleurie. First time with the Foillard Fleurie. It was much bigger then I expected, earthy, almost animal. Also ripe red and black berries, purple and white flowers. Good wine, I think I prefer the Py more from this lineup as of rn. I feel like this will really show itself in another 10 years tho.

Wow. Now I understand. So concentrated but elegant. This is so young I need to get more to see what it turns into.

rich, but not overly ripe. This is really quite an amazing value. Purple flowers, black, blue and purple fruit (blackberry, black cherry, plum, blueberry, boysenberry) stone, subtle vanilla, spice. Wow. going to get more for sure. (and save for 10 years)

Delicious fully mature claret. Nothing crazy. But very good on a Wednesday nights with steak.

Super closed down, still got some cherry but not giving off much. I’m for sure gonna try and hold the rest of my bottles until at least 2024.

Wait for this. It has closed down and is mostly tasting like unintegrated wood right now. has structure but not currently in a good spot.

This wine was great but didn't seem fair to have it next to the 2006 Lambrays. This will be great but give it more time. Still primary and beautiful at that. Black berry, Black plum, Oolong tea, smoke, dark herbs. This will be amazing but wait until 2023 at least. I imagine I wouldn't open another bottle until 2028. 95+ potential

Wow. So much beautiful red fruit and autumn woods. Wild Strawberry, Wild cranberry, tart cherry, old leaves, wild thyme, mushroom, cellar mold (the smell of burgundian wine caves) . this was singing this past weekend

I'm not sure if it was just the bottle or if this was in a dumb phase. not nearly as expressive as other bottles of this wine. I'm glad I have more because it was still v concentrated but it just didn't show the complexity of its youth anymore. looks like maybe time to put it away and wait until 2025?

Bright, zingy, crystalline, aromatic, beautiful, etherial. Starts out as ripe stone fruit and sharp, cutting mineral and acidity. by the end of the bottle it was all mineral and candy lemon. Such an amazing wine and such a baby. I'm glad I've hidden away my other bottles otherwise I would be to tempted to drink them. This is going to be an amazing wine with even more time.

I will say many might rate this higher but I feel like I might not be into older Barolo. This started out super thin when opened. tasted like Iron water. We took it to the restaurant anyway in case it opened up with the bit of air and time. It for sure did. Dried cherry, black cherry, mushroom, lemon blossom, still with that vein of iron(rust), went amazing with food. I had other notes at dinner but we drank a few other bottles and so these are the ones that stood out.

decided to open this up even though I had a feeling it was going to be closed. Don't make my mistake. Not in a great place right now. Little fruit but no great earthy qualities coming out yet. Hold till 2022 at least

Amazing, but I will wait a while before opening another one. So big and rich, lots of black and blue and purple fruit. Wouldn’t guess bojo but also not sure what I would guess. Spice, earth, fruit, mineral, smoke. Very high quality.

Wow. So much better after a year in bottle!! No more boozy quality or harsh acid. Super complex and balanced. A little richer red fruit. Raspberry, mineral, watermelon, flowers, yum

One of the wines of the night. Beautiful and lightly oxidized. Lemon, hazelnut some subtle sherry notes. A beautiful wine. For sure people say these aren’t for everyone but all of the non wine folks that tried it also loved it.

This outclassed the 2017 Oben Bruke from Donnhoff that we tried earlier this week. Much more evidence of botrytis with this savory fois or Smokey incense quality. White peache, white stone, lime, grapefruit. What a value. Bright acidity with a beautiful subtle sweetness that peaks around the edges. Wow.

Rich but not overpowering, black and red fruit, lots of stuffing but not a crazy amount of complexity yet. I feel like I am mirroring a lot of other tasting notes but this is drinking great now but very obviously will drink even better with time.

Drank from a 375. Tart red fruit dominates which surprised me. This is my first Las Cases. Red current, cranberry, lots of graphite, if I was to be given this blind I might have guessed a high quality Sangiovese. Really good and I can see why petiole are saying to open this a decade from now. The tannins are beautiful and fine, the acid is high, and there isn’t a hint of age except for the fact that the tannins don’t rip your mouth out like my experience was on the release of the 2014’s(my first grand Bordeaux vintage tasting) I give this an A- but would love to see where it goes in a decade or three.

This was good, but needs time. It was soft and savory, with a little tart cherry/cranberry, savory herbs, popcorn, some florals with airtime. soft body, tart finish, but easy going acid. I'm unconvinced as of right now. Maybe with time.

I think the previous bottle I had was possibly flawed, just got to try this again and it was nothing like the closed, boring black fruit wine that I had a few months ago, It was singing with purple and red flowers, red fruit, black fruit, minerality, just an amazing wine. Still not sure about the price of this compared to other Chianti, but only time will tell.

Watermelon, Raspberry, herbs, spring water, crisp, some tannin on the finish, some boozy quality on the mid palate. Had weight while still being fresh and light.

This bottle was singing! So good, amazing amounts of depth, lovely cherry and earth, mineral. Wow. Wish I could get more.

Tasted like this might be closing down, based on other tasting notes from late last year. This was good and had some pretty black and red fruit, but not much depth.

(edited to remove score as I think this bottle was flawed)
