Found in my cellar and not in my inventory on CT. So figured it was long gone. Shocked to find it still very much alive and drinking quite well. Bricking on the edges but great fruit. No tannins. Soft red fruit profile.

I’ve had this wine before & it was stunning. This one was shows an oxidative quality that is off putting. Very yellow color. This bottle is off.

This was pretty oxidized. Golden yellow color. Off nose. Something is out of sync here. Tasted another bottle from the same vintage and it was totally different. Lighter in color with a pleasing nose. Pears, lemons, apples. Very enjoyable. Huge bottle variation with these.

The finish is just weird. You expect it to be fizzy. This is just not drinkable to me. Use for cooking in a smoker.

This is mouth watering. Super cherry with some tartness on the back end. Bright red fruits with a tangy elegance. Truly delicious.

Even better than I remembered from last time. Lychee fruit, pear, white peach. There is absolutely no smoke taint. Not sure what you were tasting but it is not smoke. Plus there is no way that John would bottle a wine with smoke taint.

This is drinking well right now but could easily go another 10 years or more. Huge black fruits, chocolate, plums, cassis, lead pencil, cigar box, cedar, tobacco. Such a pleasure to drink a mature Pride but with a lot of life left.

Same impressions as the last bottle. Just a very enjoyable, full throttle, Oregon Pinot. Hard to believe this is from barrels that didn't make the cut. And it is an incredible bargain.

I have tried to like this but I just don't. It is a very strange wine with overripe apples predominate. Tart, acidic, tannic. There is no pleasure here for me. Sadly I have five more bottles with will go into cooking.

This is just amazing. Tannins have softened, huge blackberry, leather, cedar, complex and mesmerizing. You just cannot stop sipping this. Probably has at least 10 more years.

Alluring nose of cherries, blueberries, spice. Complex with some tannic structure. Delicious. Recommend drinking with food. Excellent.

Wow! This blew us away. A full throttle pinot bristling with cherries, cola, allspice, sweet red fruits. Delicious and ready to go.
The wine has polished texture.

Wow! This is drinking really well right now. Huge red fruit profile with a complexity that is mesmerizing. Soft tannins, with cigar box, pencil lead, raspberry, cherry. My experience was so different from what EATNAY described. Had to be a bad bottle because this one is simply amazing. My last bottle sorry to say.

This is really delicious. Huge cherry overtones. At first a touch of cough syrup cherry which quickly changed to cherry dominated notes. An incredible syrah. Bravo!

A WB 2022 offer and purchase. Before that it was unknown to me. I am glad to have found this. Huge nose of blackberries, currants, leather. The palate is black fruits with a long finish. Velvety tannins and very approachable. Probably will continue to evolve but why wait? I really like this.

Wow. I got none of the barnyard smell described by JBRO. I am not sure what was wrong with your bottle but this was nothing at all like you described. A huge nose of black fruits. Coating the palate with blackberries, kirsch, cassis. A real pleasure to drink. Sorry it is my last bottle from this vintage. Well done!!!

Agree mostly with Vinous but I find this tannic and needing a lot more time to knit together with the fruit. The tannins are distracting at this point. Visit this again in five more years.

The addition of merlot to this version really makes it sing. This is a beautiful wine with black fruits, tar, pencil lead, cedar. Very approachable for such a young wine. No noticeable tannin. Pure pleasure to drink.

I don't recall tasting this upon release so I am guessing that something really bad happened during the past15 years since Parker gave it 98 points. It certainly doesn't resemble a 98 point wine at this point. 15.8 % has not been kind to this over the years. Evidently it has turned from a decent cab into some kind of Frankenstein wine. Drinkable? Yes. Enjoyable? Definitely not. A pruny mess of a wine. I just purchased their newly released 2019 before tasting this and I hope it is a better wine. I truly regret that I have another bottle of this and looking for a smoke recipe where I can use it in my water pan.

A full throttle, fruit forward, complex wine with black fruits, stony mineralty. Savory and delicious. This was one we tasted at a last minute pop up on Cayuse weekend a few years ago. A ton of fun.

Possibly flawed? This is like drinking Champagne. Completely fizzy. I am not sure what is going on here but it's not good. Tastes like rotting apples. Nothing to suggest this is Riesling. A complete disappointment.

Well this one surprised me after the last two several years ago. Holy shit, this is just delicious. Black fruits, cedar, pencil lead, cassis. It tastes like a much younger wine. Plenty of life left. Glad I have another one.

This has obviously lost some fruit but it is still drinking very well. Color has bricking. On the nose black tea. Cranberries, black cherries, some smokiness. Still has some tannins which are probably never going to resolve. But a delicious RRV pinot. Drink.

This bottle seemed much more tannic than the last one. Maybe the fruit is fading and the tannins are more pronounced at this point. Still a good bottle but the tannins are distracting. Might be time to drink these as I can't see them improving.

The nose on this is mesmerizing. On the palate black fruit dominates. Savory and mouth filling. Drenches your taste buds with blackberry compote, plums, and a richness that is hard to describe. Needs a long decant or hold for years. Bravo!

This is nowhere near past its prime. It is in a perfect place with soft tannins, incredible fruit with a complex mix of blackberry, cherry, plum. This could easily go another five to ten years but it is drinking beautifully right now.

Not really getting the review by AG. I find this to be incredibly interesting. The nose explodes with bright cherry. The palate is sweet black cherries, currants, graphite, creme de cassis in a complex layer of vanilla. Complex and delicious. I find it amazing.

The nose on this has really changed since my last bottle about a year ago. Rustic barnyard which blew off in the glass with some air. On the palate some nice cherry, herbs, dark tea. Still has a firm backbone for some additional bottle time. But I may step up drinking these sooner.

This has a very rustic quality on the nose. Almost like TCA odors but definitely not corked. I had a hard time getting past this smell. A light raspberry, some cherry. I wonder if this is slightly oxidized? Have another bottle to compare but for now this is not one I would buy again.
