Not the best example I've had, and needs time it's safe to say. If you have this, hold it and see how it does in 5-10 years
White - Sweet/Dessert
A very different style of Chenin Blanc and not like other dessert wines I;ve had.

Ready, but can hold a while yet

Drinking very nicely now.

White - Sweet/Dessert
Sort of sweet, different than expected. unlike other wines in this category. I need to drink more of this to see if I really like it, or is it just a curiosity.

Excellent. Great nose, fine balance in the mouth - ready to drink but with lots of life. Drink or hold (for years...)
Served with roast pork and it was perfect.

Served with pork and it went great. We enjoyed it and I'm glad I have a few more. Drink or hold.
Red
Still needs time. Tannins are not as rounded as I expected, but not harsh. Flavors should improve as they keep evolving. Hold another 4-5 years and try again.
Red - Fortified
REmarkably good. Nearly perfect for my taste. I had this in my cellar 20 years waiting for a good time to have it... I wish I had more....
White - Sweet/Dessert
Excellent, great value but regardless of vintage or price, this wine is in a sweet spot now and drinks like a more expensive Sauternes. Drink or hold.

Drier than I like and sharper, more sherry like - so not to my precise taste, but the wine is a good example of what it should be. Fair QPR.
Red
Good, solid example. needs time

2009 Château Langoa Barton St. Julien Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)

Excellent, really showing well now. Great example of a GR in its prime.
Red
2015 Château Fleur Cardinale St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Drinking well right now, room to improve though... Drink or hold.

drank a glass and used the rest for beef burgundy.... tasty both ways.
Red
I didn't find the complexity the others here did... But it's tasty, a very big wine (like a Zinfandel from Ridge) and has fair balance. At $28 it was a good QPR. I'd hold it a little longer as it has plenty of fruit and the tannins are not fully tamed.
Red
Excellent. Showing great right now. Drink.

2010 Château Talbot St. Julien Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Showing mostly tannins right now. BAsed on lack of fruit I'd say hold it a year and then drink. Not sure it's going to last much longer than that... and Not sure if it will get better or not.

flawed
Flawed bottled - sort of corked and oxidized with an oddness I can't describe.
White - Off-dry
Slightly sweet as you would expect, but with a deeper and broader flavor profile than I expected. Very good with or without food.

Excellent. Popped and poured, consumed over 3 nights. refrigerator temp to start. Reminds me of a very good Chablis, but with some hints of oak. Maybe a light Meursault. Lemon citrus and maybe green apple nose. Austere palate at first, but then lots of mineral and pure fruit. Seems to evaporate on the tongue - coming across as painfully dry... Certainly improves with breathing and a little warming. Great balance and long finish. Drink or hold.

Tasty Brunello. Showing well right now. drink or hold
Red
Very good. Reasonable QPR. Reminds me of an Oregon PN actually, bigger and more fruit than a Burgundy, but nicely balanced. long finish. Recommended.

2015 Château Latour-Martillac Blanc Pessac-Léognan Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend (view label images)
Tasty. went well with shrimp
Red
This is ready to drink. I wouldn't hold it, but that's just me. Tasty but overpriced.

1996 Nicolas Joly Clos de la Coulée de Serrant Savennières-Coulée de Serrant Chenin Blanc (view label images)

flawed
Corked bottle. soft spongy cork pulled apart with no effort.
White - Sweet/Dessert
Slightly sweet, like a Spaetlese perhaps. Distinctive flavors unlike normal Chenin Blanc, not like other wines I'm familiar with. It has nearly as much complexity as a good D'Yqem. Much lighter in body and with enough acid to do well with a savory dessert. I'd not pair it with a super sweet dessert however. Drink or hold.

Dark red, just starting to fade at the edges. wood in the nose, old oak and cedar; leather and dried black fruits.
As it opened up the nose refined, and the palate showed firm body, crisp and full flavors. Youthful somehow. Medium long finish. Typical of a very good Rioja GR. highly recommended. Served with flat iron steak and pesto on bread. Drink or hold.
White
Good. Liked it still and am glad I have a couple more. Drink or hold.
Red
Excellent. Drink or hold. Typical and tasty. Wish I had more.
Red
Reliably tasty. Not sure it can compete at the price point however.
White
Excellent, more fruit that I remembered. Nice complexity, but not much petrol. This was a fave for the night
