Too young but good potential for a basic Burgundy wine.

Mineral and mediterranean wine. Very complex nose: sulfur, smoke and yellow orchard. A discreet acid presence still present.
Wine that if well stored can last a few more years.

Very tasty wine in the mouth, almost buttery, typical yellow fruit and vanilla. Floral nose with occasional licorice notes, well balanced.
Not a long range wine but today incredibly ready and satisfying.

Cuvée formed from the 1er Cru "Folatières" and "Hameau de Blagny". Wine that encapsulates, well balanced, the qualities of both crus.
Ready-made and drinkable wine, an experience I have already had with all the 2017 Burgundy Chardonnays. In this one I noticed a long-range potential given by a more pronounced acidity than in others tried.

First experience with a chardonnay from Morey-Saint-Denis. Positively surprised by this tasting. Very mineral and powerful wine. Peach predominant in the mouth, particular orange note on the nose.

I cannot understand if it is incredibly young or if it is oxidized due to a non impeccable conservation by the previous owner. When the bottle was opened there was an explosion of aromas. The color was almost impeccable, however, the tannins were very rough and the wine was very iron, almost oxidized, I would say. After a few hours the oxidized scents seemed to diminish and a bit of cherry came out but no bouquet and no complexity.

Incredibly intense red color given its age. Intense peppery, oaky and cherry scents on the nose. On the palate ripe fruit, blackberries, cherries and spicy notes come out with time together with some tobacco and cedar tips. Full body with residual tannin and balanced acidity. Incredibly simple drink despite the complexity, I would call it fascinating. Very intense persistence. A wine that can easily make another decade.

Brick red with light transparent nail. Very complex on the nose with hints of cherry, tar, roses, licorice and a slight note of eucalyptus. In the mouth very similar wine, same scents, full body but not infinite persistence. It seemed to have passed its peak. Reading other reviews I think it is a problem of storage as the Aldo Conterno Colonnello 2001, bought from the same seller was flawed and oxidized.

Dark red color. Ripe red fruit, leather and spices. Very well balanced and delicate nose. In the mouth balance between ripe tannins and acidity. Bouquet much more decisive than the nose. Delicate but very persistent aftertaste with a particular aroma which gave freshness (mint?).

Nose of great personality, at first intensely floral with hints of dark spices and ripe cherries. Secondly aromas of dark plums, bitter cocoa and smoky notes. Full-bodied drink, marked by a persistent fruit. Tannin definitely elaborated.
Enveloping finish, with an aftertaste of marine sapidity.
The wine suddenly closed after less than two hours, an experience that has already happened with other Burgundies that are still young.

Second experience with the Aux Reas after the 2006 vintage.
Wine at its peak. Ruby red. Cherry, underbrush, intense spice. Well balanced acidity and tannins. Intense and long aftertaste. Very elegant but at the same time powerful wine.

First experience with a Biondi Santi.
The 2007 was not the best vintage in Montalcino which is why this wine is already in drinking window.
The wine is still young, but not as young as one might expect from a Biondi Santi.
Not your typical Brunello. Very delicate red color and "fresh" wine in the mouth. Red fruit, in particular cherry, but also flowers, citrus fruits and a light spicy note on the nose.
Infinite aftertaste.

Second experience with a Pichon Baron after the 2012 vintage.
Not decanted, needed a couple of hours for full bouquet release.
The color is an intense dark red but without orange edges, a sign of a wine that is definitely not too old.
Tannin still present, wine at its peak but with the potential to do a few more years.
On the nose 60% Cabernet Sauvignon predominates over Merlot.
High complexity on the palate. Tobacco, coffee, dark fruit, earth, all framed by soft tannins that make for a full drink.
Very long persistence of dark fruit and spice.

Wine ripe and at its peak. Red color and incredibly intense. Ripe cherry and spices of prolonged persistence in the mouth. Still present an acid note that may allow a few more years in the cellar.

I did not expect to find such a closed wine. Tannic still very rough. Non-existent bouquet. Definitely wasn't oxidized, no musty hint. Color of a very intense ruby red.

Reading other reviews it definitely seems to me to be in drinking window, it was probably ready and now it is in that phase of further closure.

As probably every Bordeaux 2010 is still very young with high acidity and very pronounced tannins.
After a couple of hours from the opening, to the nose and to the mouth is however an elegant wine with a very complex bouquet.
Most probably in a short time, just like many Bordeaux, this wine will close up and go back to a flat state for at least another decade before finally exploding.

I really enjoyed this Brunello Riserva.
As you can imagine it is still young. Tannins are still very pronounced and the acidity is decent.
Despite this, it has a high complexity and, above all, elegance with notes of red fruit typical of Brunello.
Drinking Le Ripi you can smell barrel notes, with aromas of vanilla and wood, scents which if appreciated (as I do) can add particularity to a typical Brunello. These are notes that can be found in few wineries, besides this one I personally tried and recommend Cupano as well.

Advanced cherry red color with hint of reddish brown towards the rim. Mediterranean stain (olive, rosemary and sage), outline of spice, tobacco and leather, robust core of black currant and cherry, tannins still very free-range. Very full in the mouth. Intense and long finish. At least another 10 years without any problems.

It is incredible how young this bottle still is. Very dark color and incredibly rough tannins. Note of honey when opening the bottle. After two hours in the decanter an explosion of flavors. Red fruit, spicy component, roses and Mediterranean scrub (olive grove, rosemary, sage and herbs), the latter very intense in the mouth. Very long finish with a fresh touch (mentholated or honey?). Alcoholic component still very strong, marked acidity. Scary aging potential for this wine.

I was expecting a very mature wine, I found a wine in incredible condition, ruby red in color, without any sediment and with still pronounced acidity. After less than one hour to the nose were already present strong hints of ripe red fruit. After two hours an explosion of licorice, tobacco, tar seasoned by flowers and spices which gave a touch of freshness. In the mouth softened and well balanced tannins. Long and intense persistence.

Currently one of the best bordeuax I have ever had. A wine that lived up to the high expectations placed on it. Really intense nose. The high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon gave a predominance of dark berry fruit and underbrush with cedar, tobacco and spicy fruit framework. Very full in the mouth with well balanced tannins. Very prolonged and intense persistence.
Wine that won over a friend who is not a Cabernet Sauvignon lover.

Opened and left in the bottle to breathe for an hour. In a blind tasting it could hold its own against a lot of Bordeaux. Very strong coffee scent, with tobacco, cedar and black berries.
Excellent quality/price ratio (paid 35€).

If anyone has bottles of this vintage at home I suggest to drink it now, seeing the color and the amount of sediment I do not think it can last much longer.

Incredible wine. Left to ox in the bottle for a couple of hours. Burnished red color with brown shades.
Particular consistency, almost dense in the mouth.
Incredible nose and mouth. Black fruit and blackberries, licorice, a particular spicy background, after a couple of glasses a hint of mint also appeared. Tannin still present and perfectly balanced with the acid notes. Intense and incredibly prolonged finish. Unfortunate to have had only one bottle available.

Not the bottle I was expecting. After drinking the 2008 Flaccianello a couple of years ago I expected to find something similar but more mature and with a less rough tannin. I found a good wine but only in the mouth, a lot of fruity (cherries) but without the classic hints of leather and tobacco. Nose also not as intense as I expected. Reading other tasting notes I think it was probably a problem of conservation of the bottle, taken by a private collector a few months ago.

Left for an hour to breathe in the bottle, then put in decanter to speed up ox.
After another half hour in the decanter, hints of black berries and blackberry exploded.
Despite the 15%, the wine is incredibly smooth and not heavy.
An excellent wine of clear Bordeaux inspiration.

Big disappointment. No idea if it was an issue with the individual bottle but the common thought is that it was incredibly young. Flat nose and mouthfeel with a slight hint of red berries, inextinguishable finish but acidity present.

Drunk on the same evening as a 2006 Domaine A.-F. Gros Vosne-Romanée Aux Réas (my ranking: 91).

Decanted for two hours. Incredibly elegant nose. Cherry and other red fruits, flowers, mint and a sweet component.
On the palate tannins still a little rough but already very well balanced with the acidity. A vast assortment of aromas released in the following two hours. Cherry, strawberry, rose petals, spices among others. Acid and intense finish.
As 2012 was not the best vintage for Barolo, I think it is accessible from now on for the next 5 years.

Wow! Two hours of slow oxidation in the bottle. Dark red with even more intense profiles. Very varied bouquet with dominant berries, undergrowth and tobacco followed by balsamic and coffee notes. Nice balance between acidity and tannins. Long and intense finish. Fantastic 100% merlot, curious to try other vintages.
