Nice deep color, amazing nose of garrique. The palate was disappointing though, with lacking fruit and a medium finish. Well, disappointing compared to what the nose was promising (and the price).

It may be sleeping - hard to tell.

Dark color - still rather young but soft and very drinkable. Nice fruit on nose and palate - some rum or marzipan. Medium finish. Keep for another decade - or drink now.

"Cool" wine. Classic bordeaux nose and palate. Surprisingly complex for the vintage. There's some development in it still, although it will never be truly great. But for a low-level Cru Classe in a "difficult" vintage, it's quite good, with a long, long finish. 2004 could be another sleeping beauty that is vastly underrated. Drink or keep.

The wine looks Ruby colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like Dust, and Raisin. It tastes like Raisin, Dust, and Forest floor. The body is Light/Medium. The wine has Round texture. The wine finishes Short. No development forthcoming - drink now!

Clear, slightly yellow color. Sulphur (gunpowder) on the nose. Palate is fruity fresh and crisp. Gooseberries an the slightest "tingling" on the tongue. Finish is medium - a bit sweet and citric. Not a keeper. Drink now.

Definitely over the hill. Cork was "rotted" on top - but seemed fine when pulled out. Color is very yellow - almost golden. Nose is sweet (yeasty?) and palate is peculiar - weak, spent, oxidized? Finish is beer-like and despite being drinkable (somewhat) it just seems off. Drink now or discard.

Whoa! What a wine. Dark, brilliant color. Massive cassis on the nose, followed by overripe plums, english licqurice and after some time tobacco. Attac is massive black and red fruit spearheaded by cassis with many nuances. Slight "sour" dairy note on the back. Middle is weak compared to the attac, but the finish is long, long, long - and it gets better as it is gets to breathe. Definitely great wine and it can take a few years or 10 in the cellar.

An absolutely beautiful wine. Dark color, thick texture. Decant and/or let it develop for a while. After ½ hour nose becomes full of secondary notes along with the cassis - palate is massive and finish is long. One bottle left. Keep or drink.

After some time in the glass, secondary notes on the nose (licqourice and cigar-box) appear on the nose and the palate. Medium-long finish. Will improve (or keep?) for a few years still. Straw yellow color. Quite oily and very brilliant. A mineral nose, buttery on the palate. I didn't care much for it. Reminded me of hangovers in my youth. But other than that a "correct" chardonnay. Became much better with food. Confirms my passion for Riesling and Pinot Gris. Drink now.

Dark, fresh color - doesn't look 9 years at all. Dark fruits on the nose. These repeat on the palate that - with the garlic lamb - massively enhanced an otherwise subtle mint flavor. Medium aftertaste. A prime example that 2. wines from even "off"-vintages can provide something extraordinary - at least as long as the producer i up to code.

I'ver upped this another point from my previous note from some time ago. It's an absolutely gorgeous wine, with a powerful, intense nose of candied violets. The palate is dense and classy - only at first being overpowering but once it gets to breathe, it loses the alcohol and becomes velvety yet intense. Surely, it'll keep for a decade or so, but it's aboslutely wonderful now. Drink with a powerful sauce and braised meat (at least, that's what we were having) and it is absolutely delicious. Drink or keep.

Almost black, clear colour. Heavy decanted the nose was dark chocolate and blueberries - later smoked meat. Palate is fruity and somewhat oaked, prehaps a bit closed. Medium finish. A powerful wine that performs better with food than on its own. Save it for another year before drinking and it'll keep developing for another five+ years. Has potential.

Surprisingly transparant color, nose of garrique, pencil-tip and sweet black fruits. Palate reeks of Grenache with welcoming fruity notes (black berries), hints of bacon and plenty of ripe sweetness. Deep and complex. Medium-long aftertaste. Keep for another 10 years, but is actually drinking quite nicely.
