Fantastic. Big opulent wine, dark purple color with black fruits/cassis, vanilla, a hint of leather, smooth tannins. Really enjoyable over a few hours with beef.

Solid Bordeaux, garnet purple, dark fruit, leather, cigar, tobacco, well structured with lots of earth and spice, lovely mouthfeel and smooth finish. Very good value, 2nd stay still going strong.

This has been open since yesterday and just starting to show it’s stuff. Dark fruit/blackberries, structured, rich and delicious, some earth/herb notes, probably needs another 3-5 years. 1 bottle left.

1/2 bottle, decanted 1-3hr and tasted along the way. 2nd half on day 2.
Day 1. Big, ripe dark fruit, jammy, spicy, full bodied with long smooth finish.
Day 2. Less fruit and more alcohol on the nose, still lovely dark fruit and jam and spice on the palette. Always a great TJ wine.

Lighter Syrah, dark fruit, raspberry, floral notes, a little pepper, and very well balanced. Super young though - probably should have waited. Interested to know what it would be like in future. Great value too!

Lovely Zin. Very aromatic, with dark fruits on the nose. Medium to big body, rich but still elegant, brambly fruit, pepper, a little floral.

Bought from WTSO. Big Napa Cab blend - I presume some merlot/cab franc/petiteverdot. Super tight initially. Lots of dark fruit and oak but its fairly soft and very well balanced. Needs a few years. Much more open on day 2. Really loved the mouthfeel and texture.

Day 1. Popped and aerated 1/2 glass. As noted in other reviews - this pours like a pinot initially. Very light color, lots of strawberry on the nose and palate. Then 1 glass a couple hrs later. This has transformed. Totally different. Much more open, it's bigger too, still red berry but more some cherry and spice, even some green notes - it's hard to describe.

Day 2. A still some red fruit, cherry, lots of spice, still some green notes - hard to pin down. It's way different to any Grenache I've had.

I really enjoyed but this is very hard to score. The transformation from the initial 1/2 glass was strange.

Not as good as other vintages I've had. sweeter than expected. Dark fruits, chocolate, tobacco, vanilla and some spice. Rich mouthfeel with velvety tannins and long finish.

I've had 6 of these now - picked up at a local store- drank the first 3 and bought 6 more on closeout.

Excellent QPR even at the original $18. Berries and spice and a long finish. Some oak and a somewhat heavier mouthfeel than you expect. Really good every day Pinot.

A fantastic Zin. Probably a year too early but had to break out my first Carlisle. Great nose with lots of fruit right now - blackberry, blueberry, peppery and lots of spice. Perfect acidity and tannins makes me think this will be amazing in 2-3 years and last at least 10. Just a wonderful rich luscious wine.

Picked up a Costco. Great value. Drinking well. Big but smooth tempranillo based blend. Smokey, chewy, big tannins, nice finish.

From WTSO. Solid buy for $16. Nice merlot based blend, good fruit, a little sweet. Drank all over a 1 month stretch.

Very nice wine. Not as good as the 2013. Smooth with big, lush wine fruit. Perhaps a little sweet.

Surprised by this wine. Not as big or jammy as other Tobins I've had. Much more restrained, a little earthy, with some nice dark cherry and spice flavors. Very smooth and balanced, a touch of oak/vanilla (but not as much as I usually expect on a TJ), and velvety tannins.

It will be interested to see day 2/tonight as I've kept about a glass and half.

Note: bottle is labeled at 13.8% and from reading/CT pics it appears that previous years have come in at 15.5 (2010 and 2008) and 14.8 (2011) and 14.5 (2009) so the alcohol has been significantly reduced on this wine.

I have not had a lot of Washington wines. This was a very soft, smooth and approachable Cab. Dark red in color with lots of blackberries, currants and a little vanilla/oak. 88-90.

Good value Southern Rhone. This was better than the first bottle a couple of months ago. Dark fruits, cocoa, with some pepper and spice. Nice texture - smooth and plush and a pleasant finish.

Excellent wine! Popped and poured. Deep color, with wonderful red fruit on the nose. Well balanced and luscious with. Tastes of red and blackberry, cocoa/chocolate and soft tannins. This was my 2nd of 3 bottles. 1 left. Interesting to see how that is in a year... if I can wait
